Getting hit by IceHowl!

So, I was doing a 25man ToC today, and during IceHowls charge, A warlock got hit by it and he raged, But I ask you this, How does someone even get hit by him??? Hes a giant yeti, DeadlyBossMods tells you who hes charging after, and you only need to move a little left or right.. AND you get a speed buff... So how is getting hit even remotely Imaginable???

Maybe he is a DBM newb and was waiting for the waring while he was still running the DBM of loldaur.
Or he didnt have DBM.

For whatever reason I never get hit in heroic, but I get hit half the time in normal.

and for the record it isn't deadlybossmods that tells you who he's targeting, that's built into the game. you wouldn't know that never turning that mod off . though i do believe the marking of who is targeted by him is DBM.

Icehowl glares at powerogue and let's out a ferocious roar (or whatever)
icehowl jumps back, waits an excessive amount of time, and, once he is sure no one is in the way, gleefully smashes his head into the wall.

i get that this is ranting a bit, but how should i reply? kick the warlock, alert the world of his failure, and be certain now that even if he was modless and not in vent, he had plenty reaction time to the ability.

Assuming the fight is working correctly, it's amazingly easy to avoid him. I did however watch - very clearly watch - Icehowl practically do a U-turn to follow a player and charge into him one time. Which was funny.

I remember once when the servers were lagging.. We tryed ToC10 3 people got hit by icehowl when they were VERY far away. Funny story

This reminds me of when I saw Icehowl back up to start his charge, then charged straight behind him, ass first, into the wall. I figured it was glitched as "jaraxus won't be here until next week" bullshit came up afterwards.

Sometimes I've been hit even though I know 100% there is nothing I could have done minus chugging a Potion of speed to get out the way faster.

On heroic i'd go as far as saying its a little RNG if you get hit or not, depends fully down to if the server decides you made it or not. regardless of what you see on your screen I've been hit and killed even though I was easy 10yard + past the safe point (used rocketboots immediatly and ran)

Back in ToC days, i loved to Ice Block in the middle of the room, and with luck, he would target me, and then i would cancel Iceblock, blink away, and Icehowl would stun himself in the middle of the room. Always awesome to see.

I've read somewhere about a guy thinking if Icehowl will miss the charge he'll get pissed and wipe everyone .. so he took one for the team . Guess what happend

i remember when i did this boss on the first week and i ended up pinned between the pillar and wall with no way to change camera angle, i made the non-logical conclusion to just run the way to was looking, splat. wondered why they never fixed that pillar problem as on HM you do cut it very close having to back track out of it =/

People are so bad at this game it's mindnumbing. I was in a 5700+ gearscore togc25 just a month or two after ICC came out (when 5700 was quite high) and all 5 people he charged got hit. Granted you don't have a speed boost in heroic, but jesus... One of the ones who got hit was a mage. The class with BLINK. He went right, changed his mind, went left, didn't blink and got hit. And because stupid people are stupid, he then informed us that if -WE- kept being bad he would have to leave, as he didn't have the patience to deal with that sort of thing. Another time, someone with "skill" as a part of his character's name, in a guild called 'Pros' something or other, got hit in a normal mode ToC25. He informed us that "omg u cant get away its 2 fast". When the leader kicked him, he waited until a moment before his instance boot before talking to the guy and starting the event, wiping the people too slow to see it and zone out.

Ahh, Blackrock... I can't wait to get off this server ^_^
