In the current Beta build, there is a quest where the Alliance provides the Grimtotems with weapons to fight against the Horde. It is at this point that the Grimtotem them self say they will align with the Alliance."

They have an alliance in Stonetalon Mountains, both to ensure safe passage into the Southern Barrens and to fight their mutual enemy.

Whether this alliance will hold into the Southern Barrens, Feralas, Dustwallow, and Thousand Needles remains unknown.

It will just be an Alliance of convenience for the Grimtotem, true, but then I'm not so sure if the Alliance knows this. Been a while since I've looked at screenies of the Stonetalon quests, but I seem to remember the Grimtotem chief making a large effort to suck up to the Alliance and paying lip service about seizing land for the Alliance... but then I might be reading too much into it.

i think it balances out with the orcs dragging the tauren into all their wars....Alliance, Outland, Northrend, bgs and many more...the taurens would be happy just wandering around the barrens if it wasn't for the orcs...

And getting slaughtered by the centaur. The Horde has given the Tauren protection and supplies. Being part of the Horde doesnt really just mean "oh hey fight my battles for me". You give to receive. And I think the Taurens are content with helping out the Horde since they are some of the original founders of the Horde.

If your friend had a problem, wouldnt you help him? Thats the case of the tauren and the orcs.

While I don't forsee Tauren becoming an Alliance-playable race, I do like the notion of some Tauren becoming part of the Alliance fold. They are, truly, the most peaceful race on a base-level, and the Alliance only fight them because they allied with the Orcs to begin with.

We've seen some dwarfs side with the Horde before, so maybe have a faction of dwarves join with the horde, to even things out.

Hmmm. Grimtotems aren't the peace loving norm among the Tauren race. They are xenophobic and hostile to all non-Tauren (and any Tauren who won't submit to them).

Only reason they would be siding with the Alliance is because they've lost their foothold on Thunder Bluff and are on the bad side of the Horde. The Alliance would work with them purely for their own benefits as well.

Hense, I forsee a double backstab in the future.

I doubt the Allies know about the poisoning, their extent of knowledge on the subject is "Garrosh is being mean to us, help"

Notice the citation needed on that info. It like the info that came out about Garrosh/Varian is likely partially or completely wrong.

Also lets not forget the Alliance has quests to kill Grimtotem and the Grimtotem are killing Alliance (currently). Enemy of my enemy does not apply here.

What I don't get..

When Grimtotems joining the Alliance, wouldn't that mean that Horde would lose Thunder Bluff and the Tauren Race ?..

Was an elaborate guide of the quest chain up on the other website about it with screenshots and all, eventually leading to the Grimtotem forming a temporary allegiance with you,

So... they accept Grimtotems and are totally cool with it.

But they dont accept Dark Irons who have been corrupted and abused by Nefarian and Varian probably tries to Assassinate Magni's dear kid
