Just finished watching Space Battleship Yamato 2199. That was an amazing show. Definitely going to miss it. You should all watch it and be amazed too.
I just wish Akira had ended up with Kodai rather than Yuki. Akira best girl. That and that they didn't fly a fucking god damn mother fucking boat through space. A BOAT FOR FUCK SAKE! Oh, but it was easy to understand, just extremely stupid. See, they had to make Mr. transfer student appear as mysterious and dark. So just have him talk about some trivial things in an overly serious manner while using deep-sounding but ultimately empty metaphors about life, people and society. But the MC didn't get how "deep" he was so she thought he was actually talking about the chickens and wanted to cage them or do something mean. Actually this scene is just there to (clumsily) set up an opposition between guy/dark/deep/knows something crazy and girl/innocent/kind/naive. Then you use the consequences of the MC's actions to create some comedy before the (bad) drama.
there are 5 chickens 6 main characters, the Jonathan chicken is being avoided by the group since his an outcast like David. When David talked about the possibility of a cat killing them its a death flag for one of the characters dying, most likely lesbian since she visits the hospital a lot.
