Except you don't need that gear. And a lot of casuals on these forums play for fun, doing heroics, leveling alts, and they all admit that and condemn hardcore raiders for raiding just for gear and asking why we can't just play for fun. Yet they're obsessed with getting dem purpz and qq on forums till they get it. Not saying the op does that, but I've seen it a lot.

But in no way do you need to improve your character unless you're taking on content that require it.
You improve your character so that you can take on harder stuff, but why feel the need to improve when you stay in the same mundane content?
Heroics are meant to be done in 333 gear which is what you get in normal 5mans and from quests.
When you're in 346/359 gear they are easy as hell. So why would you need full 359 or higher to do them?

Seriously, stop thinking about what people need and more about what they'd like, this is a game not a job. Otherwise you may as well tell somebody who can't (for whatever reason) raid to quit until the next expansion, which is incredibly small-minded, as well as bad business for Blizzard.

I raid, I have no problem with people being given the chance to improve their gear, no matter what they do with it.

If you absolutely insist on a reason why they "need" better gear it's so they don't get vote-kicked from LFD groups in a couple of months time for being "lol-scrub" by pricks.

And 10 points if you know where the quotation is from, and another 10 if you can see why it is apposite.

No. remember wrath when Blizz was nice enough to give us Frost --> Conquest ---> etc. etc. and then everybody wanted more? Everybody QQ'd about how we didn't get Conquest --> Frost and Heroism ---> Valorous.

I could understand Valor --> Justice., but no, not Justice --> Valor.

It isn't any different, and nobody has suggested it should be. Go back and re-read, hey maybe even stop and think about the arguments for more than 2 seconds, otherwise that knee-jerk could seriously injure you.

Wanting to get raiding gear from other means other than raiding is a little silly. You need the raiding gear to progress through the content why would you want gear from raiding if you don't raid? It's wasted gear, all you do is farm or do Heroics you don't need purples to clear heroics. This is the same thing that happened at the beginning of Wrath except this time (which btw is MUCH better) you can't buy epics with Heroic points and get an epic at the end of the instance. Blizzard wants you to work for your "purple pixels" not hand them out like they did in Wrath. Once the next tier comes out then you can buy your precious VP items and you'll be back here again complaining that you still can't get the new VP items w/o raiding.

I plan on raiding with my guild here soon but I still consider myself casual and I know when gear is wasted.

Really all you've said is stop telling people what they need and they apparently need epics to not get kicked in lfd. If "pricks" are even in lfd they're probably in the same gear as you since people who raid do it with guilds. If all else fails and you're worried about being kicked, do it with your guild.

Who said I was talking ABOUT you? Calling me an idiot when you misinterpret what I said. There's no reason what so ever to improve your character if you're gonna be farming heroics. Really if people just wanted to improve their character then blues would do, but for some reason everybody just wants free epics. There are more ways than gear to improve their character, but people just seem to want gear. So yes, I can understand wanting to improve your character, I want to too, but I do it with effort like everybody else should.

Getting my mount at 40/60 was really epic, but now adays walking is just annoying. So I'm sorta glad for the changes since I hate walking, but I miss that epic feeling.

If people dont really raid they shouldn't really be getting Valor points at all now should they? The 70 a day for non raiders is good enough to eventually after a very long time give them enough to buy an epic designed with people who raid in mind.

No. I don't raid, and i absolutely have no care for earning what i don't have any reason or need to.

I see so many people complain about heroic queues, or having a hard time getting their Valor Points.. Why? If you're in a guild, just do a run with them. If you're not in a guild, why on earth do you need Valor Points? Hell, why do you even need Justice Points? I suppose you could pug, but that wouldn't be the best way to spend your time.

If you're raiding to get gear, you shouldn't be raiding (not saying you do). You raid because you enjoy it, want to spend time with your friends/guildies(hopefully they're both?), or both.

What game are you playing? It's certainly not World of Warcraft. This game IS a job, unless you only level alts or do random heroics. Which would be pointless because you'd be getting JP/VP for gear you couldn't even do anything with. On top of that, random heroics are with people you don't know and usually don't go very well.
