Resto Shamans useless as of Cata

Anyone notice that resto shamans aren't able to keep up in the healing meters with holy palys/priests?
I mean theres a lot of changes yes but overall holy palys/priests just dominate now while we(shamans) are frowned upon.

You're right. Blizzard knows it, and is doing the following in the next patch:

    Pallies are getting nerfed.

Priests are getting their OP meter-topping AOE nerfed, while getting buffed in other areas.

Shamans are getting multiple buffs and no nerfs (discluding mana tide, which is not a meter thing).

They should be in effect in the next week or two.

A well played shaman isn't that far behind pallies and priests, even on some fights we surpass them.
I'm sure you've taken the fact that Paragon had no shaman's on their world first Sinestra kill as a personal affront to all resto shamans, but it really isn't 'that' bad.

I mean last exp. we dominated meters but now its like all over the place, specially with the holy palys new mastery being able to bubble which i find pretty rediculous.

i assume u r referring to the mastery change, since nothing else is really considered a buff
yet all that will mean is we will be even more reliant on gear

greater healing wave is a side grade: more output for more mana spent

    20% bonus to mastery.
20% bonus to GHW with only a 10% mana cost increase - still a buff in my book.
10% bonus to Chain Heal. Not enough, imo, but it's still a buff.

And being reliant on gear is fine - the classes that scale better with gear tend to dominate in later tiers.

I play a Resto druid, and we're also a little bit behind Paladins and Priest.

Yet, re-rolling haven't crossed my mind even once. Why?

I enjoy playing my class, regardless of what numbers we're seeing

As of this reset, our resto druid is dominating in raids. Reju spam is back.

And this is skill or what defines a good healer, this style of healing was what was in WOTLK and therefor I rather reroll a shammy

every time a top guild doesn't take a class to a 1st kill why do most people think that class is bad. New hardmodes are hard and promote class stacking
    I miss being a Troll

Being behind other classes doesn't make yours useless just in need of a buff.
If that were the only condition to being useful every class but the top dps would be useless.

And? last expansion survival hunters were laughed out of raids and now theyre doing some of the best DPS. Specs and Classes have cycles of usefulness its been like that since release.

All hell breaks loose at the start of an expac. I can't wait to start playing my resto sham again, been gearing my main and now that we are downing raid bosses I can divert some attention to it. We use a sham in most of our progression pushes so I'm guessing you are doing something wrong and haven't caught up to the 'cata' style of play.

Shamans are just as good as other healing classes, it really depends on the fight.
I do about the same HPS as our guilds resto druid and holy paladin.

    From my experience

    Paladin > druid > shaman > priest.
Dunno if we just have shitty priests or what, but they are always keeping the last place. The paladin and druid do about 1.7x the healing that the priest does :/

Anyway, OP if ur bored in PVE u should try PVP. I'd say that skilled resto shammy > any other PVP healer, atleast atm.

So stacking shamans would have worked as well?

It is that bad not just for Sinestra but the only reason to bring a resto shaman is for feeding other healers mana via mana tide until they buff resto its pretty much not worth not bringing them to raid at all

i'd say it's more your shitty raid members that don't click their lightwell
