-Public restrooms. They are nasty, echo, and people always make nasty unneccessary grunting sounds. Ewww.

-All types of bad drivers including those who randomly brake, tailgate, roll forward at red lights as if it's going to magically turn green, people who crane their necks to see who is in the car next to them, people who don't check if it's clear before merging, people who pass in the suicide lane and constanly cut others off even though it's not getting them anywhere any faster, people on cell phones, driving drunk or high, have 16 chihuahuas on their lap, pull out of a parking lot in front of you and go super slow when nobody is behind you and they could have waited 2 more seconds etc. I love driving but absolutely hate it when others do these things.

-Makeup. I honestly hate it and am upset that so many girls rely on it to be happy with how they look. Looking natural is 100% better than smearing crap on your face to change how you look.
-When I am riding my horse and kids jump out in front me screaming " HORSEEEEEEEEEY!!!!!". Really? Where are your parents? I'm galloping at 40 miles an hour on a 1,000 lb animal and cannot promise that he will stop when I ask him to. He also might freak out from your screaming and flailing and possibly kill me, himself and anyone else he chooses to barrel through. Also, assholes that honk when driving by as I'm riding down the road in attempt to make my horse freak out. HAHAHA you're so f***ing funny.
-When people sitting near me order seafood. It smells so disgusting and I honestly have trouble not vomiting.
-People who always have to show you up. If I ran track and placed nothing but 1st and 2nd, they placed nothing but 1st. If I caught a 30lb fish, they caught a 31lb fish.

Well, because they kinda do help your aches and pains. Maybe not your particular case, but they have for myself.

When we walk naturally and don't heel strike, the arch flexes and springs back into position to absorb shock. With an arch support, it limits how our feet naturally flex and puts pressure where we don't need it. Think of your foot as a bridge. A bridge supported by an arch only works if the pressure is applied from the top of the bend. If you put a strong force from underneath that arch, it will very weak and will not be able to withstand that same amount of pressure.

I stated that I hate arch supports because I have experienced the difference they make. I did ballet for about 13 years and ran track for about 3 then eventually stopped because it was very straining and I developed achilles tendonitis in both ankles and my knees, hips and back were always hurting. I was told by my doctor to start wearing arch supports in good running shoes, so I believed it would help with the soreness and played along. He was wrong though, and I ended up much worse than before. In the mornings my ankles would cease up and I couldn't walk, my knees always ached and my back would never stop hurting. Well one day when I was sitting at home seeing how old friends were doing on Facebook and I came across a photo of my friend wearing these odd looking toed shoes (vibram fivefingers). I looked them up online and started reading article after article from podiatrists and consumers of how beneficial they were and decided to give them a try and within a month I was almost back to my old self. I wear them hiking or just walking around the house and it's like they're not even there. I haven't had a problem since and have actually met a few people that swear by them as well.

Every foot is different though, so I agree with you that it is not for every one.
