Go back a couple pages and I predicted this is what they'd do... well, speculated. And book fans' heads will explode. Mine included

aah good to know I'm not the only one , it's a pretty prevalent theory, and one of the better ones out there, would be good even if nothing every came of it, just as a nod to the fans

and yes, I think my head would be exploding as well would be awesome, him being there, not my head exploding.

Well, yes he is and if you look carefully in Episode 4 when Joffrey is punishing Sansa you can see him dressed up (probably to look a fool). Seems weird to not include what he does at all and leave it until s3.

I'd actually bloody hate it if Syrio turned up. Would cheapen his sacrifice.

not really... to sacrifice himself, he would have to have died and there's a theory going around at the moment (it's been around for quite a while tbh) that he didn't actually die, he kicked the crap out of the knights and then legged it, and will turn up at a later date to do awesome things.

I'm hoping Syrio didn't die in Season/Book 1, only because I want him to join up with Arya again in Braavos so she can finely start kicking some ass with Needle.

Yes, I know. I would prefer that he did die. Would cheapen his stand for Arya if he magically survived. Would be an ass pull.

funny thing is, I think the total opposite... he was billed as this godtier pimp, but then went out so soon, would be awesome if he turned up later, shrugged, saying 'that day was not my day to die' and then helped Arya to get her revenge of the people left on her list

He went out so soon after wounding multiple kingsguard with a wooden sword, protecting Arya (after acting as her mentor). His very character is an enigma. To bring him back to play lancer to some character and/or put him as some Faceless Man is in my opinion cheap. It would be the equivalent of Eddard Stark returning and saying "Baelor's Sept was just a setback!"

If you remember when Syrio fought (in the epsisode that GRRM wrote btw), when the screen panned away we heard a metal sword drop to the ground with scream, not a wooden sword. Just sayin.

I really, really hope not.

Not to try and change your opinion, but I don't see it as cheapening anything. He allowed Arya to escape by staying back and fighting. If he was good enough not to die, but instead knock the knight out, then why must he die to make it worthwhile? He did his part in saving Arya, but just went above and beyond and kicked the shit out of Trant as well.

It comes across as a deux ex machina and has echoes of Kael'thas all over it (albeit a 'hero' not a villain). Suddenly making him a Faceless Man (as most people seem to think he is) comes across also as a complete ass pull. It makes it appear like a mini superhero. I already don't like what George did with UnCat, Gregor Clegane, Aegon & others. I suspect I won't enjoy the probable return of Sandor. Authors can use the "think they're dead but really..." card too often.

Well, that wouldn't bother me that much to be truthful. Would a bit, though.

The way Robert Baratheon was offed bugged me too by the way. Seemed to much a gambit.

funny thing is, there's now so much support for the 'he's not dead' side... it would almost be MORE of a twist if he actually did die, but I'd still place a fairly hefty amount of cash monies of him turning up at some point.

as for Uncat, Gregor and Aegon.. tbh I have to agree, especially on the gregor side, it was such a monumental moment when he died(can't WAIT for that fight, gunna be so pimp ), bringin him back as some king of zombie night is just.... a bit offputting. Same thing with Aegon, mostly though because this makes it less likely I'll win the bet I have with my friend, that Stannis will end up on the thrones , because I can see Aegon reclaiming the throne at the end, with a little help from Arya and Tyrion (it would be quite ...apt, the story starts with a Lannister and a Stark removing a Targaryen from the throne, then it all ends with a different Lannister and Stark putting a different Targaryen back on it). I have to say though I really want Sandor back he was just starting to get good in the books, and the he just kinda... fades out, so I'd quite like to see him come back, maybe not to do anything major, just a little 'yup, he's not dead, he's somewhere chillin, living the peaceful life' kinda thing.

Not enough mana for it man.

Seriously though thats how I interpreted it reading the books, they can't do magic shit all the time, the power has to be drawn from something... for example the curse she puts on all the other kings, with the prince blood/hair... also didn't Stannis slowely get drained in the books, I always connected that with her magic stuff

It's the same thing with the priest of the red god that rides with the brotherhood in the riverlands... not sure if they will show that part in the series, not gonna mention spoilers... but if you've read the books you know what I mean.
The nerve is called the "nerve of awareness". You cant dissect it. Its a current that runs up the center of your spine. I dont know if any of you have sat down, crossed your legs, smoked DMT, and watch what happens... but what happens to me is this big thing goes RRRRRRRRRAAAAAWWW! up my spine and flashes in my brain... well apparently thats whats going to happen if I do this stuff...

Pretty sure Mel is the next thing better than a conman: she's prone to "misinterpreting" her flames a lot, she needs powders and glamours to give the "illusion" of real power, and bringing forth shadows is apparently really taxing on the "father" -- just look at how gaunt and startled Stannis was following the two shadow monsters' debut in Clash. She obviously had no hand in the three kings dying, either; each passed away due to very mortal means. She probably just happened to interpret the flames correctly, and had a glimpse at what would happen, so she could make up some bullshit about king's blood beforehand to keep Stannis on side.

She certainly has power, but she's not quite that omnipotent. We meet one or two other red priests who make her look like a tool, particularly Moqorro.

A bit like that Maege in book 1 in the Dany/Khal Drogo arc?
