So my guild is 3/13 and we have been clearing halfus heroic for 5 weeks now and we have ONLY seen the heroic protector pieces. And it its not just halfus tier, chogall normal and nef normal we only see protector. Is this just really bad luck?

Dunno if it's necessarily bad luck, that's very subjective. However, it's definitely random, and the vanquisher drop rate is not worse than any of the others.

Sounds like you're doing them on 10m. It's just bad luck. We had the same trouble in Wotlk 25 HM's, the Protector tier would drop 75% of the time.

Terrible luck... I did heroic ICC 25 for atleast almost half a year on my rogue.
I was the only combat rogue so Axes were mine... Well, The one from gunship NEVER dropped.
Not once ever... Man I was ticked. So I went mutilate and the first night I went in with a mut spec Lunbreaker and heart whatever dropped. Both heroic versions... One night weps>6 month weps. Fuck you Blizzard. The same applies to the fiend slayer boots in karazhan because I had enough Badges of Justice to get the leather boots but I was wanting to keep saving for the xbow. After about half a year of farming the boots I decided it was time I got the leather justice ones... Well the very night I got them the Fiendslayer boots dropped. FML

Happens to us in our 10mans also, can be really annoying as the one dropping all the time, everyone in the group has it now. It's all RNG which for 10man is going to be more annoying than 25man due to the same loot table. Just keep going for it

When I killed H halfus the first time this week vanq dropped :P. He also dropped malevolance, while we had no hunters in raid... so now my boomkin friend has a nice 2h to go taunt all the hunters in SW with :P. He gemmed it with brilliant rubies and put power torrent on it, just for the lulz.

We've gotten so many Vanq and Prot tokens that we're now DE-ing the items we get from them.
We've seen Conq tokens drop only 3 times in our 2 months of raiding. We're 6/13 H.
It's... annoying, to say the least. I don't think I'll ever get my t11 4-piece.
