If achievements ever go account wide..

I'd finally be able to play something else than the warrior I haven't enjoyed in years.

I would love account wide achievements cause then if i start a new character or use my alt on something and get an achievement my main doesn't have it would add to the total and not just on the alt, but i disagree with offering rewards and mounts to all your alts, achievements like that should give the points but you still need to complete it to get the reward on that character. Redoing achievements every time is sort of lame honestly. Would be cool if it was setup for SC2, Diablo 3 and wow all in one nice profile.

i'd agree that account wide achievements should be implemented, else people would just be tunneled back to their mains cause everything they worked for is basically on that character.

Everything should be account-wide, but when browsing through them, you (and others) should be able to see a list of which character(s) the achievement was achieved on. If the achievement is associated with a title or mount, then that title or mount should only be actually available on the character(s) the achievement was actually achieved on.

You completely missed the point of his post. Of course the achievements you mentioned have nothing to do with a pug, but his point of "hey RL i have the raid achievement on this toon" I have no clue on how you could have missed that.

Because having the achievement shouldn't be proof you can do the raid. Plenty of people are carried through anyway, and it's only the jerks who require you to have Sinestra down to pug Cho'gall.

I think their should be account wide achis HOWEVER with resitrctions, as in if ive done just the two of us :2200 I shouldnt have it on my newly dinged lock

But if ive spent hours grinding say exalted or loremaster on my main then I cant see the harm of that title on (max level course) alts.

Another way of looking at it, is if I have the Blue Dragonhawk on my main for having 100 mounts, then maybe the mount should be boa and learnable to those with the skills but not dissappear when you learn it (cant send it to other faction) like the onyxian whelp pet was

so what about all the rep achs? you get the ach for having full rep, but do your alts get max rep and the ach? or just the ach?

if you kill 7/7 fl on a dps char, why should you have the ach on another char - you didnt do it on that char

I doubt vanity item/pets will become account wide. I think blizzard may make some dungeon and raid, pvp, reputation, and possibly some of the world events account wide.

You should have it on another character because it will show that you have experience with the different boss encounters.
