Yesterday was my lucky day..
I had spent 235 attempts getting my first primal egg, second one dropped yesterday after TWO attempts..
After that, I got 3 Direhorn Runts in one hour. Then I killed Oon and got a 522 ring, replacing a 502.
I finished off by going to TK:EYE for my weekly run, and Ashes of Al'ar dropped after 37 weeks of farming...

Now I can delete my accout, because I will never see another rare drop again... :-/

I do ~11 runs of pretty much every thing every week, saw LK ultraxion and ony drop in 3 weeks after not s eeing anything for years.

Not a very compelling story, but i got the Green Proto-drake from my first egg!! lol

Also, I was one of the first (if not THE first, i never saw anyone on it until after i had mine, but that doesn't mean anything) to farm the 10 skyshards for Alani's mount on my server. Not lucky or anything, but it shows commitment! lol I have since sold one as well

Yesterday, after many years, 2 accounts, 5 characters, Ashes of Al'ar finally dropped for me.

I for one was glad I was never going back to that place. But then I remembered that the pets didn't drop yet.

Was sitting outside of Stonecore waiting for the instance timer cap to reset (finally got that mount the next day). I had WoW tabbed and covered by other windows (creating a jewelcrafting spreadsheet of most used cuts). All of a sudden the small bit of window that was uncovered flashed red, and I'm thinking... "nah, couldn't be aeonaxx". I tab back and sure enough, he/she is up, still alive and flying just below the stonecore outcropping. My heart is pounding as I mount up and fly as fast as possible to the drake, clicking as fast as possible to get the vehicle action bar cause I know twenty other people propably saw the same npcscan go off.

I kill him/her and get the parachute dismount. Then I see an alliance toon flying over (me being Horde) and thinking "great, now I'm gonna have to fight my way to loot the corpse. Thankfully the alliance player was non hostile and even cheered my luck. What really scared me was that Aeonaxx died on a cliff slope, and my first couple of attempts at looting were unsuccessful as I kept sliding away no matter where I landed. Thankfully there was one small ledge near the corpse that I could land on. If that had not worked I was about to find another mob nearby and hopefully chain aoe loot.

Had invincible drop last week!
31 weeks of solo'ing Heroic LK25 on my death knight paid off.
Ashes of alar after 73 kills between alts and Onyxian Drake 87 Kills between alts.

I was farming XMog gear in Auchindoun yesterday and thought "What the heck, I'm here, so I may as well try for the raven mount."

Flip kicked the bird, mount dropped. just about did a flip kick IRL.

Not much of a story, but I started doing groups of ~4 people killing kael in TK at level 80 to try to get Ashes. Never dropped. Cata came around and started soloing it on my DK. I think it dropped on the 34th run if I remember right. One of the happiest moments of my WoW life.

When farming for and unsuccessfully (ended up giving up after 10k+ casts), the turtle mount, a former guildy got it after about, 5 casts. Me ofcourse, full on rage mode, then I got a notice saying servers will be offline in 15minutes. Decided to give it another quick go before servers went off, in the same place he got his, Crystalsong forest, up and down the river. Ended up getting it 1 minute prior to the servers going offline.

They day I grinded the epic cat in Winterspring I also got the raptor from ZG =/

Also another story, there use to be this retarded lootwhore DPS Warrior in my guild... he was awful and greedy and simply didn't give a shit about anyone else, he was a "grown up" which suprised me even more. Anyway, one day he was the Stormpeaks doing dailies, when he saw another player with the Time-Lost Protodrake he instantly really like it and decided to alt-tab and check wowhead to learn how to obtain it... as he got back into the game it was practically staring at him... he killed it and looted it.
I couldn't think of anyone less deserving of any reward in this game than this total selfish fuckhole, but obviously RNG is RNG.

First one I find I get teleported. Due to latency I landed on the water and died from fall damage, losing my chance at the mount. Worst experience Ive ever had with this game.

Been going in and doing Ony 10 every week for the past couple months, just for a few extra gold here and there. Decided to kick it up a notch tonight. So I switched it up to 25man and solo'ed Ony. To my amazement I went to loot her and there's the mount! Go me, I guess the sun does shine on a dog's @ss some days.

Flametalon - Second kill during current content
Drake of the North Wind - First kill with the intention of farming it; probably 20 kills overall whilst Cata was current, otherwise I dunno.
Grand Black War Mammoth - First kill with the intention of farming it; cleared VoA most weeks during Wrath, so probably 100 kills overall and yeah I did see it drop like 5 times before, but they were ninja'd lol.
Blue Proto Drake - First run through UP during current content.
Fossilized Raptor is also cool, was one of the first on server with it.
Red Qiraji Battle Tank - probably 5th clear of AQ farm.

Got my 12th Titan Runestone today, go do the quest get my cape.. Then I head to Kara.. Nothing. Onyxia.. Get the mount - And then werplow! HORRIDON mount dropped. I'm now 2 mounts richer.

My first rare mount was the blue proto-drake from Utgarde. Like 2 days after I hit 80 for the first time I was running a random heroic and lo and behold the blue proto-drake dropped, and rolled something terrible like a 10. Afterwards, I whispered the guy who won it and offered him all of my gold (like 900g lol, just bought epic flying). Strangely enough he accepted the offer said he 'already had a proto drake'. Nicest player I've ever met in WoW. Made all my friends super jealous as he really wanted a proto drake

i started farming mounts long long ago and i dont know why im still farming them if you seen my luck.
my luckiest mount drop would be the rivendare mount after 19 tries back in wotlk. after that i got ravenlord in 35 tries and from that points it gets worse.
took me 83 solo runs of stonecore normal with my 85 prot warrior in cata to get the stone drake. ive done the ice bear mount daily AT LEAST 350 times and i still dont have it. but the worst one would be ..... my direhorn mount. i thought i was clever by using my GF's lvl 90 character on a dead realm to phase myself there and quitely farm the warbringers. it took me 108!!!!!! kills before i finally got 1. yes i solod all 108 and my current counter is 123 and ive still seen only 1 drop so far.

rest of all the rare mount i dont have because they simply dont drop. and i spent ALOT of time farming them

Our weekly Firelands achieve/legendary farm run had it's first flametalon drop this week. Buddy of mine rolled 100 on it. Bastid. :P

Couple weeks ago we were finishing up our monk's old main (paladin)'s shadowmourne and Invincible dropped. I lost. I cried.

Also he had to ticket to get another tabard from his shadowmourne because he had one he bought already.

Ran ZG constantly before it was taken out and replaced hoping for zg tiger or zg raptor(preferably tiger lol). Had two weeks left before patch came to remove it, and thankfully my tiger dropped for me. Still favorite mount today even over my spectral tiger!
