Post In WQ, does it bother you when...

you get flagged for pvp automatically as soon as you join a random group? We all know by now that most WQ's give you the option to join a random group to make it go faster. I find that all too often I immediately and automatically get flagged for pvp.

Many times this isn't too much of a problem, especially on my horde druid because she's on a horde-heavy server. But when there are flagged alliance around I find it hard to focus on attacking because I'm guardian spec and my main bread-and-butter attacks are strict AOE (swipe and thrash). I have to wait for the cooldowns to rely on mangle. Flagged alliance who are also tanks and melee dps will often get hit by my thrash and swipe, especially on a Wardens WQ involving killing a powerful single mob. Even if they aren't deliberately standing where they know my aoe attacks will hit them... if they see me hitting them, they'll usually hit back. I"ve gotten killed a few times over this. Now, I lose no durability from getting killed by another player, but I can lose out on any loot the mob might carry, and if it's a powerful Wardens target, that can be a lot. (I haven't tried releasing and running back to see if I still get credit at all if the mob(s) die(s) before I get back to the area.)

Does it bother you getting automatically flagged when joining a GF WQ? Why can't players from a pvp server be moved to the pve servers instead of vice versa?

(Maybe there IS a good reason for that, but I don't know what it is.)

You might want to take a minute to review your settings for WQGF there is an option to avoid joining a PvP realm, unless you are already on a pvp realm. If that latter is the case then.... PvP happens on PvP realms :P

This sounds like an awareness issue, and not the WQ's in general as I don't get flagged for PvP unless PvPWQ or joining a PvP realm.

The only thing that bothers me while WQing is being stuck in god damn combat all the time. I honestly wish it wouldn't take so long to get out of combat.

And even the pvp WQ's don't flag you instantly, they give you a while to run back out

Indeed they do, a grace period if you regret. Though, should be expected to be PvP flagged if you're at a PvP site.

Does it bother me? Not really. I play on a PvE server, have done a huge number of world quests, using group finder heavily, and ended up being ganked due to getting flagged maybe twice in all that time.

What actually bothers me more often is when PvP players get pulled into my realm and I can't heal them. So I have to go and manually flag and unflag myself to be able to toss some heals while doing a "Danger!" quest etc.

I do notice this but I know by far the largest EU horde population is PvP, so it limits groups a lot if you turn it off.

Generally I have yet to see world pvp come from it, aside from a few cases on a world boss where it's hard to fight back or being outnumbered or on a lower geared alt, (ranged shooting melee on Levantus etc.),

Outside of world bosses, I have seen some pvp but I usually don't engage unless they strictly target me.

Speaking of situations outside of group finder where pvp flags occur.
Even in areas like Darkbrul or Bareback brawl, there are actually nice people focused on the PvE objectives , usually unless they use ivory talon PvP generally only happens if ppl outnumber, outgear others, or use the lightning drake mount thing to harass.

Considering I've been playing on a PvP server since 2004 and have been PvP flagged since then, no. No it does not.

This doesn't bother me, what bothers me are the people who dot my mob for 1 damage and never loot it so I can't skin it or those players who think because I have 3 dead carcasses beneath my feet that its ok to steal my skins.

I'm usually down to bang, so a few extra HKs don't hurt none.

Doesn't the default Blizzard UI now offer the option to auto group? It might be that one they are talking about.

As for the original question, I do use WQGF and it's the first option I choose. Downside is when healing I have to manually flag or just accept I am unable to heal half the raid.

Why would you join a group for WQ's? Apart from World Bosses that is... and not even for those, if you want to wait for a minute or two?

It makes the quest go ridiculously quickly most of the time. And WQGF makes the matching effortless.

Just another "accidental PVP flagging" forced PVP crap. Second reason, why I haven't bought Legion. I told it Blizzard many times already. I've payed money to transfer to PVE server and I don't want to have PVP in any shape or form. PVE server should be = permanent "hard" PVP flag disabling. We were fighting with this crap back in MOP, when TI brought some "tricking you into PVP" problems. We won and Blizzard promised, that since then problem have been fixed. But in Legion they started this crap again.

I have to tell it again. ON PVE SERVER NO PVP SHOULD HAPPEN WITHOUT MY OWN PERMISSION. Flagging me without my permission = violating rules of PVE server.

So. I won't buy Legion, till "hard" way to disable PVP on PVE servers won't be implemented. It should either be technically impossible or any activities, that can potentially flag me for PVP - should ask my permission to do it before allowing me to enter PVP zones.

    I don't care about Wow 11.0, if it's not solo-MMO. No half-measures - just perfect xpack.

It doesn#t. if you enter an FFA PvP zone you have a 10 second grace period to GTFO. use it. Its an PvP area, you don#t belong there if you don#t want to PvP and nobody forces you to do them. If you want to do them because they give AP/Gear/Honor then that is your choice.

You don#t get flagged otherwise, except when joining a group an an PvP realm. Which is also an action you need to initaite.

the only thing I'm missing is a warning when i apply to a group that happens to be on an PvP server.

You don't have to. The FFA PvP areas are far away from any major routes, you do not stumble into them "by accident". And even if you do, there is the grace period to walk back out.

its a complete non-issue and only gets chealked up when people who have no desire to to PvP purposefully go into thoses zones to get PvP Rewards. No rewards if you don't wanna PvP, thats only fair.
