...You're the one that thinks genres are static dude. Multiple styles of game can fall under such a broad genre as JRPG.

Sorry im the one saying its an rpg and action game. Everyone else says its 1 thing only. Action and RPG are broader terms than JRPG.

It is an action rpg that falls into the JRPG genre. Of course JRPG is broad, the only requirements are that it was made by a Japanese developer and that it is an RPG. Nier: Automata fits that description.

There's also the difference how JRPG and RPG tell their story:

In JRPGs you're being told a story from a fixed point of view with pre-set cast.
In (western) RPGs you write your own story from your own customized character's PoV.

Also there's the fact that japanese culture that is reflected in JRPGs tend to be very different to that of western culture in WRPGs.

This is true. RPG is the general umbrella term to my knowledge though as many early JRPGs borrowed a ton from D and D. By the definition of some people on here,

I could call Todd Howard with the million dollar idea of a Skyrim release in Japan by a new studio, Bethesda Japan. We can call it, Skyrim: JRPG edition

So I recently watched the trailer for the Toy Story world, it looks great! I'm defiantly super excited for this game.

As far as my wish list for worlds go... top of my list would be Wreck it Ralph, though i'd like to be able to explore game central as well and maybe go to Ralph world not just sugar rush. I'd also like to see a Star Wars based world. If they can do Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean then there's no reason why they couldn't do SW

Even more unlikely would be a Lady and the Tramp world, i'd love to fight the Siamese cats as the world boss and have the "We are siamese" music mixed into the boss fight theme xD

Someone on the KH Insider forums showed off these pictures from development. At first it seemd like someone went out of their way to make something that seemed legit, but it's looking more and more likely there is a Monsters Inc. world.

Hopefully, we'll get some more news soon.

The low detail and lighting leads me to believe that this is either an old build, they render the game mildly while testing, or they had just started detailing the level and still need to rapidly playtest the layout and make blocking changes.

Or, someone had way too much time on their hands.

Loved the trailer looking forward to it, Still waiting to see how Square Enix fuck's it up.

I think its time I do my series play though since there is a couple KH games I didn't finish.

Rapunzel and [s]Flynn[/s]Eugene as party members in the Tangled world, and Ariel has a water form as a summon.

Marluxia and Vanitas are both back and apart of the Organization, again in Marluxia's case.

Gummi ship section will return, split into exploration and combat phases.

More than 9 worlds, each split into three sections, early, middle, and late game. Early game worlds are 90% done with the middle ones are 60%.

Nomura also says he has something he's wanted to put into Kingdom Hearts since he was working in Final Fantasy, and he's sure it will suprise everyone.
