Why such ugly pvp gear?

I was kinda excited when Blizzard stated that they would make pvp and pve models different...
but every season so far has been disgustingly ugly. I mean, if you're gonna make unique sets, at least try to make it nice.
T7/T8 look amazing and S5 looks horrible.

I read somewhere that the sets will get better with PvP gear... PvE gear seems to be doing the opposite.

A GC post somewhere said that if they started with an awesome set right away, you'd end up with Thrall on your head during season 8.

Not ugly doesn't have to be completely awesome. The sets they came out with so far are just plain ugly. S6 isn't any nicer than S5 gear.
DK set looks like it is made from legos. The hunter set (and most of the other class sets) looks like it is from Aladdin.

Most of these sets are exactly the same as s5 except for a few minor tweeks. If blizzard is looking to shrink their clientelle their definetly heading in the right direction.

I do like a few of the S6 sets. The Warrior set and Warlock set looking decent to me, so I guess it is a bit up to opinion. (I still think the Priest one is ugly as hell).

What I don't get is why Blizzard would want to start from plain and ugly, and then slowly make them awesome. When they could have started from awesome and from there made them even better.

Fair call imho. There's always a ton of players that hate the armor sets provided, hence why customization to gear should be in order - but that's another topic. Hell, the Paladins have been up in arms all over the official forums on all sets other than T2. Lol.

Sorry, but this is not "okay", not for any of the reasons provided by Blizzard or anything you can make up.

The simple fact of the matter is the PvP gear is a complete abomination, a leap-back in progress compared to either previous game. Hell, the dungeon 60 set looks better than what were seeing with some of these classes. Try being a rogue, the set is so terrible and un-rogueish looking, something I really don't feel like working my ass off to get. I'm sure this contributed to at least a little bit of the 60% drop in arena repersentation.

Blizzard needs to fix this, their excuses and their sets are crap.

Seriously though, most of them are not bad. Really, what else did you expect? Define what exactly do you wish to wear as PvP gear, and give some detail other than "something badass that I look cool in".

It's a fantasy world video game. I play this fantasy world video game to have fun, I'm not paying 15 dollars a month to play pong.

I though precisely the same thing, they have the same-style lame image as the pre-60 sets... Scarlet Armour (I haz a raed armur setz) and Armour Of The Fang http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=162#...shots:id=72633

I would rather that the SX sets were re-colours of the TX sets... would make them look better.
