    4.2 Nerfbat

    "Shadow was doing too much DPS in PvE when multiple DoTs was favored, so we nerfed their DoT damage. We want Shadow to benefit from multi-DoTs, but Shadow’s damage was just too high under those conditions. We buffed Shadow cast-time spells to compensate."

    Fuck off. We finally had a leg up on other classes by providing awesome dps and heal/bubble/cleanse utility and they carbonized and shit on our dreams. Such bull. /endrant

    Get over it. Shadow priests will still be very good, just won't be OP

    So they nerfed dots and buffed direct damage and this "carbonizes and shits on your dreams"?

    [Wahwahwah, we did perfectly fine damage and will continue to do perfectly fine damage. Why can't I be overpowered? Because I fear my raid will not take me if I don't do more damage than everyone else combined.
    Seriously. Priests are in a good spot. Priests will continue to be in a good spot. We might not be the best, but we are consistent. Best of all, most of us don't whine.

    you don't need a leg up, thats the whole point. No one wanted your bubbles or dispels anyways. They have disc priests for that

    It was an anticipated change and overall won't do too much to single target dps. In fact, with the T12 4pc bonus it's most likely a dps increase. Also of note, it's a significant increase to DAA burst dps, which is a welcome buff. Yes, losing DoT damage is annoying and it may mean that haste is devalued and crit becomes desirable (especially on movement fights) but overall it's not particularly unexpected.

    Couldn't have said it better myself Nyoa.

    If you weren't competing for a top spot on over half the fights in this tier, you were under-performing. You were playing badly, VERY badly. Not to mention, every class that we were competing with got nerfed, almost. Aff locks - don't understand the soul swap change completely but pretty sure its a pretty decent multi target nerf. Boomkins? Nerfed, going to have to change states more. Warriors? Nerfed. MM hunters? Nerfed. Etc.

    Its not a nerf, its just balancing our overall DPS, any fight with 2-3 static targets SPriests would top meters from rolling DoTs, all they did was just buff single target casts so that more of our DPS comes from straight single target DPS and not spamming dots. Idk if it'll be a buff or a nerf in the end but I do think we'll probably see our damage tinkered up and down in future patches because of this change.
