As the title says. Do you think collecting figurines or toys as an adult implies that the person is a manchild or someone who has not grown up mentally? Or do you find it to be a perfectly normal hobby?

I don't know if I'd look at them as childish, but it's certainly not something I'd spend my money on. Sounds like a huge waste of money.

Depends. If the person is buying any figurine or toy and doesn't have some collection plan then it could be childish. If they're collecting specific kinds or have some goal in mind then it would be a hobby... hobby's aren't childish.

If you take them out of the box and play with them, yes. If you keep them mint and make it worth something it's normal.

When I see shows where the person has more toys than a toy store, I think it's strange. I don't know about childish or any of that, maybe, but I don't think about it much past it being strange.

Well the general population's opinion is that toys are just for children, and it'd be bizarre to see an adult collect them. Figurines are considered nothing more than expensive toys as well.

Nah. Doesn't matter what me or others think. If the person is a slave to public perception, then they might be embarrassed about collecting such things. People frown on anything they don't agree with.

I might of considered being a collector if I had piles of money lying around.
