Derrr... Did you know that the start of the expansion actually isn't about war? And that that's been explained at Blizzcon? And that this is actually about Pandaria / Pandaren?

    Here you go, brah:

    "I love it.

It starts off with the iconic Orc Vs Human fight that we havn't seen since warcraft 3. Even after being shipwrecked, they're fighting in a foreign land, ignorant of it and destroying it in the process just to kill one another.

This brings the attention of Chen. So he breaks up the fight and only acts in defense while wearing them down in the process to the point that he can show the two their surroundings and make them realize where they now are.

He was pretty much saying "Hey! Quit fighting, calm down, and open your eyes to this new world instead of destroying it through blind hatred of one another!" but through combat and then bu pulling away the mists at the end.

Just brilliant. It's definitely up there with the other cinematic intros in it's own way"

Then the panda showed up and it became more of a comedy and to be honest really did remind me of Kung Fu Panda. I do like a little comedy in the cinematic, but this comedy lasted way to long and felt a little childish.

Do not get me wrong I'm probably gonna play the expansion and I'm sure its gonna be good. But the cinematic I feel just didn't show what the upcoming expansion might offer, there was no defined enemy or problem. Hopefully the real content is enjoyable and a little darker than what I've been shown.

The more I read the comments here the more I laugh. It's like listening to a bunch of kids going "Man this sucks! I just got old enough to watch PG13 movies and now the game I play all the time has an intro cinematic that reminds me of the cartoons I used to love. That makes the intro suck!!1!" Grow up everyone. Once you do you will realize that it doesn't matter if a cinematic is childish or super cereal. What will matter is if it brought a smile to your face.

TL;DR - Kids need to stop thinking being an adult is playing and watching serious stuff all the time.

    Boooooooooooooooooooooooring.

Nothing can beat the emotions pulled during the Arthas cinematic.

This MOP one is random dudes being uninteresting. It's not terrible; it's just a letdown.

You do know that the island of Pandaria and its story are only in the boxed game right? like the rest of the story including the horde vs alliance are in patch 5.1 and beyond.
Also im guessing you missed the first minute of the trailer.......

Not really bothered about cinematics as I usually watch then once and move on.

This one was good. I won't watch it again but it was an enjoyable few mins of my life.

Ok I'm honest, I don't really see the point in them.

Blizz was very brave on this one. I liked how the focus changed. I was expecting something different OR a more elaborate fight, but it's ok, I can adapt. MoP doesn't feel like u have an obligation of doing anything. In all the other expansions, if u weren't interested in killing the big bad villain everyone would look at u funny. Nos it's sooooooo more: DO WHAT U WANT TO DO. Loved it. Gratz, blizz, and yay us.

Overall I quite enjoyed it, quality was as usual, excellent.

First part had a good Warcraft feel to it, good to see orcs v humans again rather than some big bad expansion boss.

Then Chen came in and it all went a bit Dreamworks for me, the feel seemed to go from teen to universal in that instant.

The Pandaren character was out of place, none of the hard edge brutishness of the other races in this and in previous Blizzard cinematics, Chen would not have looked out of place in Madagascar (trying very, very hard not to say KFP..), the humour initially made me smile (albeit uneasily), but it really grated as I watched it a second and third time, with the stupefied look on the human and orc's faces looking jarringly discordant with the dark theme of the early part of the trailer and indeed with the entire theme of a ramped up horde v alliance war.

I will reserve judgement for the game itself, but it does seem to nod to a rather worrying change of direction in WoW, one toward a far younger demographic than this player and even his teenage WoW playing son.

All in all skirted far too close to being cheesy IMHO.

What i meant is that, so far there is no big bad ass villain which therefor mean that the trailer wont be up where WoTLK and Cataclysm was when it comes to be bad ass.
Instead its all about the fight between the Horde and Allians, which the trailer showed very well

To all those saying "OMG KUNG FU PANDA"...did you even watch any of those movies? This was about as Kung Fu Panda as Cataclysm's opener was Reign of Fire. If anything, the opener for MoP reminded me of a Jackie Chan movie. Just because it is a panda that knows Kung Fu does not make it Kung Fu Panda...unless you're just that kind of person that has to overgeneralize everything in existence.

If you asked me to rate opening cinematics with this one involved, I would go Wrath > Cata = MoP > BC > vanilla
A lot of these people decided to hate MoP nearly a year ago. The full cinematic isn't going to change their minds. Just look at the comments saying that having a Pandaren appearing ruined it. There was no way a Pandaren would NOT appear in this.

I think this cinematic could have been better (Wrath is my favorite as well) but it wasn't bad at all. And Blizzard's art department amazes me every time they release one of these things.

best bit is where the human gives the orc the spear, just goes to show that a common enemy can make us friends

Too bad the gfx isnt as good as the trailer. And it also had the same style of comedy as Kung Fu Panda movie. Which makes me even more sure the ONLY reason Pandarens are included in WOW, on both factions. Is because Blizzard saw how popular Kung Fu Panda was, and knew they could cash in on it.

After seeing updates on Mop for a while now, and seeing how FFXIV has improved as well as the new gameplay footage from GamesCon, I have decided to continue playing XIV and not return to WOW.
Fun to see the Gfx in the trailer is also about the level of quality FFXIV A Realm Reborn will provide ingame :3

This trailer boasts the brand new Luminous Engine SE has made for FFXIV And trailer got me more hyped than MOP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1geo...feature=relmfu

There is a difference between a funny scene and a childish one

It was well made and pretty funny, however it could've used some darker meaning to it to keep the faithful and growing older crowd appeased.

I haven't liked a Warcraft cinematic this much since Frozen Throne's intro. ❤

Super trailer. I liked it very much both from technical point of view and the message they pass.

You do know that pandas is part of the Warcraft Lore, which is older than Kung Fu Panda? lol.

Epic trailer though, I just wish they would make an animated full length movie hehe.
