So I'm slightly irritated because I thought I gave myself a reason to use Lucario for a playthrough, always thought it was cool but never gave it a try. I decided on a Dark type game (can be dual typed with whatever), and for some reason, all this time I thought the Lucario line was Dark/Fighting. I caught the Riolu early (playing B/W2), and proceed to level him up to about 25 ish before I was scrolling through the pokemon in my party and I suddenly saw his typing.
Now I've only got a Sandile/Scraggy to go with till I receive Zorua.. Although I'm considering just switching my type for the playthrough, since I'm still early in (just hit Castelia city). Might switch to a steel type so I can continue with my Lucario. But dammit, I took e time to catch an Adamant Sandile. ahhhh.
Would assume they're adding a new type to balance out some of the lackluster types (read: ice, dark, poison). Same thing happened when they released G/S/C to stop psychic types being super OP, and give Fighting types a buff.

I think the correct term is "Umbrespeon"
Source. I highly recommnend reading all of it.
Best are Tentacruel (which I happen to have), Steelix, Aggron, Groudon and Golurk imo:
Shiny Krookodile, Drifblim, Crobat, Kyogre and Druddigon are awful though:
Worst part about it is that they made a super secret rare TCG card for it:
Why choose a Pokémon who looks nearly identical as a secret rare? Past choices include Charizard and Blastoise, which are great, but this is just stupid, like the Archeops shiny card, which I have btw, and it also looks identical.

Good old garchomp Syndrome. Quite a lot of Pokemon have it actually, Gengar, Blissey, Seel and Dewgong for example.
But my favorite shinies are.
Charizard Haxorus Rayquaza (I guess I have a thing for Black Dragons) Nidoking, Gardevoir and Gallade, Ponyta and Ninetales (Guess I like blue)
I also kinda like Dragonite. I never understood the hate for it.
The colour is too dark for Dragonite, if it was a lighter green it wouldve been ok.
Easily one of the best.
Gen5 definitely has had the best shinies simply because in most cases theyve gone from a single flat body colour swap (as in earlier gens) to more detailed or varied colour swaps.
Oh yes, Nidoking is fucking awesome as shiny. My brother got one in Fire Red, and I'm besides myself with jealousy considering Nidoking is my second favorite Pokémon of all time.
Yeah, it definitely had some nice shinies, but sometimes it went a little overboard, like with Druddigon.
Btw, there's a shiny I forgot that's at least just as bad as Garchomp:
Could at least have changed the ruby to a sapphire or emerald or something.
