    Satyricon turned into an absolute farce. I'd go as far as to call them the Nickleback of the 'black' metal (and I use the term as loosely as a 80 year old hooker's private parts.)

    Satyricon are just resting on their laurels. I didn't even terribly mind a song or two when they shifted to their "black 'n roll" stuff, but their new album is utter trash. It's boring, even in comparison to the previous 3 albums. Just sounds uninspired.

    At least Frost has 1349?

    Lots of people like Satyricon. That's perfectly fine. There's loads of people that, apparently, like Miley Cyrus as well.

    The thing that really pisses me off about Satyricon is how they turned what made them awesome into a damn trick. It actually ruined their old albums for me, because I can't listen to it without going "ah, there's the exact same thing again". Those incredibly boring albums they released? Yea they did that precise thing on Volcano or Rebel Extravanganza already, except there it wasn't utter drudgery. But exactly because they went and ruined it, it also detracts from the old stuff.

    Disma's Towards the Megalith is one of my favorite recent (read: 2010+) DM release, heavy, chugging in just the right way and some fo the best vocals in recent DM (incantation vocalist doing magic).
