"President Trump has removed climate change from his National Security Strategy which is due to be released on Monday, it has been claimed.

The Federalist, which claims to have had access to a draft version of the document, says it will prioritize other threats instead.

Any mention of climate policies is angled not towards global warming but instead is tied to economic growth and energy security.

It is in line with Trump's decision earlier this year to remove the United States from The Paris Agreement and follows his dubious stance on global warming.

The draft Strategy reads: 'Climate policies will continue to shape the global energy system."

"'U.S. leadership is indispensable to countering an anti-growth, energy agenda that is detrimental to U.S. economic and energy security interests.

'Given future global energy demand, much of the developing world will require fossil fuels, as well as other forms of energy, to power their economies and lift their people out of poverty.'

The Federalist reports that it is given considerably less prominence than in previous versions. "

Right. Just the fact that it’s a consideration with this Pres is worrying. But with Trump, he’s unhinged and has no real knowledge of the limitations of his power.

I think it's more that he is aware of the limitations of his power from the actions of past potus (plural not just the most recent). From how people react to just about every thing that happens, it's more that the populace is ignorant of what can and can't be done... and remain ignorant of what has been done in the past

The emotional impact is probably secondary to the ecological impact, though. That's why it's so hard to explain to people who can't understand more than one subject at a time; climate change dramatically wreaks havoc on a multitude of systems that, ultimately, cause the end of human life or at least the end of modern civilization. You yourself may not directly boil away or freeze to death as a result of climate change. But when it destroys the ecosystems that lead to the food you eat and the goods you consume, your world will end all the same.

Evidence? Let me tell you something about evidence.

Doctor diagnoses a person with cancer. Tells him you have 6 months to live.
Hopeless person goes to take another opinion.
Other doctor tells him, you have 8 months to live.
For hopeless person, it passes 1 year, 2 years - doctors claim cancer is in remission.
Hopeless person starts believing in miracle and god.

But he doesn't count that two doctors, who had the "evidence" to tell him diagnosis, were complete idiots that do not know what they are doing!

Now what if he goes to 98 doctors who all tell him he has cancer and will die soon, shows him imagery of the various parts of his body that are actually currently dying or already dead and disfunctional, and he says "Well I'm not dead yet, fake news!"
