Seperate Transmog servers from real servers

WTF is this...

The idea of adding transmog to a classic server is insane. You don't NEED transmog to dress up your character. People did it all the time in vanilla. When you play serious (dungeons, raids, PvP), you equip serious gear.

Same thing with this whining about dual spec. You dont NEED dual spec to switch roles without paying up to 50g. You can use different gear. Talents weren't as powerful in vanilla, so a prot warrior could switch to dps gear and do fine.

Transmog and dual spec takes away the things which define your character. It takes away the identity and fame you develop for your character. Thats NOT classic wow.
You don't need AOE loot because in vanilla you actually fight 1 mob at a time.
People will understand once they start playing REAL vanilla that things are perfectly fine according to how the game worked then.

Man I knew there were a lot of casuals here, but I really am surprised to see just how many there actually are. I feel like I see a Transmog thread popping up about Vanilla every time I refresh.

Focus on something important please. If how you look is this important to you you are not worth discussing Classic with.

You completely ignore the possibility that people just simply don't like a given tier/season's art, or that they prefer gear that they earned back from ****** better. You also ignore the possibility that having a specific set of gear, or a look that some mix and match to achieve adds a level of depth and immersion to the game. You cling to this narcissistic idea that tens of millions of people worshiped the handful of you the peacocked around major cities... we didn't and it your lack of character, that gives you such a blind spot and has created this demon in your head which has caused you to take up this foolhardy crusade against transmogrification. It's really quite sad to see a mind degenerate to such ridiculousness simply because you can't feed your own narcissism anymore.

What makes you think you're worthy of being in the latter server? The fact you feel a need to complain about transmog tells me you lack the necessary skills to get anywhere in a competitive environment.

What? I care about transmog and have down all the the raids in the burning crusade outside of sunwell(I was like 12-13 having a bed time sucks).

As someone currently playing a pandaren monk with 6 transmog sets I take offense to that.

Yeah i removed it because i have absolutely nothing against the MoP expansion or the Pandaren race


Edit: Just to make my point clear.

The gear you where wearing where part of the wow-factor from vanilla-wrath. Parading around a city in a full set of the highest tier gear would almost always cause people to stop and inspect you, sometimes whispering you.

I'm not saying we should go back to that, but Transmog definitely has downsides aswell.

It certainly removed SOME(for some people) incentive to raid. There are many more factors adding to that today but thats a completely different discussion

It's just that the best time i had raiding (of all time) was when i was able to complete a raid tier set and off pieces for the first time (pre trasnmog).

It may be nostalgia, but the feeling of looking like a clown (and everyone else looking like a clown) and slowly proressing my character visually...and then finally reach nirvana of cool looking gear for a set period of time.

With transmog you can do the same-thing you'd need to down the content before transmogging the item was possible. People want pure vanilla so I'm gonna vote no but at the end of the day you'd need to acquire a complete set before transmog was even an option.

I'm about 99.99% sure Transmog will not be something we find on Classic servers. Just do what we did back in the day, equip the gear that has that appearance when you aren't doing anything important. I mean lets be honest, most people probably won't do enough to ever have more than a green or dungeon set to begin with.

Actually I blame Blizzard for this mess. They should have had a list of things that were completely off the table to begin with. It wouldn't have taken 5 minutes probably to cover most of the major ones.

So very true they should of stated there and then their intentions when they announced that they were doing these servers.. Because as it stands the adage "you want vanilla/classic servers but your really really don't" rings so very true now..

A nice attempt in trolling, but the first item with flowers was the Hunter epic quest weapon. Also, vanilla had some pointy wizard hat / cow boy hat / pink skinny leather pant and also slutmogs.
