    You perform better, in all matches, consistently. If you're underranked, you'll tend to gain more SR for wins than you lose for losses. If you're overranked, the opposite. When you're winning 40 SR per win and only losing 10-15 on a loss, you'll rank up pretty quick even with a 50% win ratio.

    New changes on the ptr (including a new escort map : Rialto).

    TL;DR :
    - Genji deflect nerfed ;
    - Hanzo reworked with increased arrow projectile speed, Sonic Arrow nerfed (but lower cooldown), an horizontal "double" jump while in the air, Scatter replaced with a volley ability ("Fan the hammer"-like ability : 6 arrows fired at full power but reduced damage) ;
    - Junkrat nerfed (projectile size slightly smaller, rip-tire slightly slower) ;
    - Lucio buffed (boop doesn't consume ammo, improved wallrides) ;
    - Tracer ult nerfed (300 down from 400).

    Hanzo rework looks nice. Although they didn't mention how much damage volley would deal (nor his cooldown). He now requires more skills than "aim the feet"-scatter. Neutral about Junkrat.

    As for a Total Mayhem perspective, tracer can no longer one-shot a full health hero (outside of herself with 300 hp).

    EDIT : a few more ptr changes today !
    - Brigitte Shield bash : cone angle reduced from 90 to 60 (= easier to dodge/aim a specific target) ;
    - Lucio leap boost when wallriding reduced to 2.0m/s (down from 2.5m/s).

    SR increase and decrease is affected by how good your personal performance is with that hero. Saying that, just because you get gold medals doesn't mean you're supposed to get excluded from the shit party.

    Never said I was "amazing", but I sure as shit am a lot better then the people I get paired with.
    Not necessarily in terms of kills or aim, but in knowing character match ups, positioning, counter
    play, etc. All of which can be almost, if not more important then just how well you can shoot.

    Either way, its asinine to believe that in order to climb, you need to be able to carry an entire team,
    which is what a lot of people seem to imply.

    Also, "git gud" is a retarded response, and anyone who says it looks like a complete buffoon, not
    worth taking seriously.

    interesting junkrat nerf but doubt it will be enough. riptire just needs to be nerfed to the ground.

    i have also legit been playing tracer like pulse bomb did 300 damage for the last year so the only difference i am going to notice is on unstuck bombs... which is kind of retarded lol what kind of nerf is that? pulse bomb gets nerfed like that but skilltire gets its speed reduced by 1 lul

    Keep in mind that the small numbers don't necessarily mean nothing. If anything, it could be
    something like 10% less movement speed.

    The Pulse Bomb was very much needed. Tracer needs a bit of her power nerfed, as she's just
    too powerful in the right hands.

    Junkrat's tire is also right on the cusp; a very small shift can change it from overpowered and way too good, to borderline useless. Changing tire speed or health are big factors in that. Before his buff, his ultimate was considered one of the worst in the entire game, because the tire was so slow that against any competent team, you either had to blow early and pray you did some damage, or it would get shot to pieces and you'd waste the ult. Increasing the speed is the only thing they changed, which made it a monster. Nerfing that speed is what's needed, so they can find a balance point. Too fast and it's basically unkillable (as it is now). Too slow and it's ALWAYS killed.

    I agree with this statement, although you also have to take account that it wasn't the only change that made it OP. Junkrat not affected by his tire, as well as a lower windup time also contributed in that.

    So, if you're stuck at a rating unable to climb further, it's not your fault, but the people you get paired with..? Do people actually believe this?

    The Junkrat nerf isn't really a big deal since he's not played much in higher brackets. In lower brackets most Junkrat players are bad, unable to properly utilize the wheel anyway. I believe Junkrat is below 3% picked in higher brackets. I imagine he's quite further up in lower ones.

    The tracer ult nerf isn't going to change much.

    Your own performance also decides how much SR you lose or win, so even if your teammates are bad you can at least try to make sure you dont lose too much SR.

    I already can never kill tanks with her pulse even when I stick them, so I'm not sure why they think it's 'too good' of a tank killer. They always have some form of mitigation and are topped to full in seconds in any rank above Plat, so I'm unsure what the point of this is. Sticking pulse to a tank is like the biggest waste ever unless you just hope to pick up ancillary targets by their hitbox being larger.

    Most of the time my target is a healer or hitscan dps, as they usually always freak out and run immediately into someone else and all of them die.

    matches going absolutely worthless these days, tanks that wait forever to advance, dva's that dont know they have a barrier, mei's that keep icewalling at the most unfortunate moments, 3 people chasing a minor priority target, engagements where people wait in the backline forever till enemies respawn again before getting on point.

    tonight i won 1 match... out of 10-ish.

    The Lucio changes are actually a massive nerf in disguise.

    And tanks have become a whole lot harder to kill from this patch. Game could use some more anti-tank heroes.

    Between my two accounts I've lost almost a thousand rank from trolls and leavers. The amount of games where I come in and I'm the only healer with 5 dps insta locks outnumber real games by 3:1 easy. I guess getting banned for 2 days for 'playing doomfist' which is what 'gameplay sabotage' means apparently has put me in the criminal queues so now everyone is shit. GG blizz and your fucked up system.

    2 games from Masters to almost diamond on one account in a week. Nonstop losses because of bad comps, all day every day.
