Based on the famous shooter, there will be a new Doom movie (reboot).

Available info:

- The movie is labelled as "non-theatrical";
- The main characters will be played by Amy Manson and Luke Allen-Gale;
- The hero of the game, aka "Doom guy", seems absent (as is hinted by Amy Manson).

Universal has teh rights to Doom 3 (and maybe the classic logos); not Doom 2016. They can't just use elements from Doom 2016 without permission from Bethesda. Therefore they can use Dr. Betruger and NOT Olivia, the Doom Marine but not the Praetor Suit. Whether they have permission to use it or not is the real question but based on what I heard, I don't think so.

Only video game to tv/movie material I can think of that didnt suck is the recent castlevania series

I'm honestly flabbergasted that hollywood is STILL trying to make movies based on video games considering virtually none of them make a profit. Most of them don't even break even. It's mind boggling really.

A damn good script, and decent acting could do it.

But it's DOOM. The story is "Oh, look - a demon. Shoot it. OK, it's dead." That's the whole story. What else could you add to it that doesn't change the whole game?
