The colloquial use of the term 'fascist' nowadays means anybody who is disliked or targeted by the dominant ideology. Though there is a separate historical definition for the term, can you deny that the way I describe it is how the term is used in modern discourse?

If you mark for fascists anybody who is "disliked or targeted by the dominant ideology", then the word is meaningless. It might mean communists, it might mean, liberals, it might mean conservatives, it might mean anarchists, it might mean progressives or it might mean anybody else depending on the prevaling opinion of the majority. If that's the case, fascists just becomes another word for political opponent.

If that is the case, on what grounds do you find objectionable somebody who doesn't align with your political views working for Coast guard or anywhere else for that matter?
