I'm not saying it should die.

It's just the way fads go. And yes while RTS games are still made compare it now to it's SC2/Brood War days. It's most certainly died down a lot.

Survival fad is starting to die down because of all the Early Access trash plaguing Steam and other platforms.

BR fad right now is on it's high note. I guess we could say it's in it's Brood War stage. It WILL die down. But that's normal.

There is a massive difference in die down and die.

Also once again Fortnite has over 80 million users and growing. It will take a lot to make that "die down".

And I agree. But it WILL eventually be taken over by a new fad that the masses will flock to.

It's just the way the world is in gaming.

I don't disagree, sooner or later something will pop up. My problem is when people say "X will die", Like I said there is a difference in die down and die. Anyone salty that BR is a thing is childish.

Video games are intended to be fun and people find BR fun, Yet there is people like the one I originally replied to that hates that.

To be honest I think the genre is a bit.... basic is the best way of putting it. Not bad or good.

It is most certainly an accessible genre because you can jump in and out freely without a penalty.

I find Fortnite the best choice for me because it means no money invested. But I've seen Blackout and while the map is small it's most certainly a very well optimised game mode which puts PUBG to shame and should make the devs for that game wake up and do some actual optimisation.

If blackout was standalone for $30 with microtransactions like fortnite it would make mad buck even post launch, right now the buy-in is way too high for many ppl who just want to play blackout and dont care for the pile of garbage that is the basegame. Too bad, prolly gonna be dead next year when next CoD launches and activision doesnt support blackout independently.

While its basic its also open to have some interesting versions of it.

Fornite added the building element.
Dying Light adds PVE with small scale and parkour.

CoDs usually sell well though; even Ghost and the last one did and as far as I know, they’re considered garbage.

Seems like the issues people have (based on this thread) are nothing I'd really care about. Played the game for a couple hours or so yesterday and I had fun. Played a mix of everything I could and the weakest point was maybe the standard MP but even that was fine, really.

Can't really say I miss the campaign.

Do you have any idea if they fixed the hitbox and netcode issues it suffered from during the open beta and why can I still see trash posts from things I actively added to my ignore list? >.<

This is very likely the only BR game ill buy for quite awhile, Just waiting for the Dying Light one to come to PS4 really. If by some magical chance PUBG comes to PS4 and it's actually playable ill be switching over to that. But I'm not holding my breath on that happening.

Man should I be proud of reaching the top 15 in blackout when it was only because I never ran into anyone? I keep trying but I'm still not having much luck actually succeeding in Blackout the tension gets to me so much that when I finally do run into someone I wind up not being to aim at all.

Also, they really need to make ammo auto pick up, I hate having to manually pick it all up same with health if I already have one in my inventory just pick up the rest by running over it.

I had to call my provider to put my internet protocol back from Ipv6 to Ipv4 so I could open the ports just for this game, but damn it was worth it
