A lot of BFA is missed opportunities IMO...

Island expeditions sound nice.. The rewards are fine ( mounts.. Pets.. Transmog ) but they aren't fun

Warfronts sound nice.. But they aren't fun.

The " Incursions " or " assaults " sound cool. but they aren't fun.

Because they all mostly the same exact thing as world quests, just in a different setting. "Grind mobs/gather things until the bar fills"

Honestly, if classes weren't so bad people would've had a better time. People were fine doing nothing in Warlords.

The game survived(?) until Legion with nothing to do with Raids and PVP. People just had less to do IRL.

I'm reluctantly coming around to Team Tinker. Earlier today some people brought up a June 4chan leak that's obviously not entirely accurate, but does have the feel of early planning stages info where you can see how stuff was cut or changed to get where we are now. It's like the early WoD leak talking about a Shatt raid sort of thing. The two big takeaways from it that are least likely to have been changed: The new class is Tinker, a mail class with tank/healer/DPS specs. The intent with Allied Races is to have an analog of every non-Pandaran race, which leaves the last two being Lightforged Undead for the Alliance and a boar-like reskin of Worgen for the Horde.

Now it's hard to say what would confirm or falsify this leak, because obviously a lot of story and zone elements have changed. But it's got enough points in its favor to be worth consideration.

Yeah I mean, I think about this a lot. Even though half the people quit.. The other half stuck around because the classes were pretty okay, and the content that was in the expansion was pretty good.. Raids and dungeons were great. Garrisons were okay. Not perfect, But okay.

Don't get me wrong, The expansion was a huge missed opportunity.

what do we have in BFA? The classes aren't fun. The content that was added in BFA isn't fun. The zones were nice to level though, but that's about it.

The dungeons aren't that fun because they designed them with Mythic + in mind which has lead them to be.. lacking.


At least 8.3 looks like it will give us something to do at least. Nyalotha looks like the best raid this expansion IMHO.

This is very likely fake.

Horde got a new species with Vulpera: it's the Alliance's turn for a new species. It also ignores that Calia rejoins with the Forsaken on the Horde.

I don't think either Light Undead or Boars are likely, but whatever the Worgen rig species is is likely going Alliance to give them a Vulpera equivalent. Calia will lead to SOME kind of Undead race on Horde.
