So it seems to be possible that's the signature in that concept art Mike's because to place the entire idea of bastion in a bit of a limbo state in terms of credibility which means we are back to a bolvar cinematic

It's all just very convenient isnt it? Thats my biggest gripe, not the quality of the concept art.

Ah yes. Pyromancer's lore speculations: Now, I know three expensive volumes were written to finally clear up the lore, but what if we assume half of it is missleading on purpose, we arrive at this conclusion not supported by anything at all beside all the booze I probably drank.

The Three Sisters comic was an extra bit of side material that not many people would end up digesting. This is meant to be laying the ground-work for the look and feel of a new expansion. I really would expect this to be better.

There's one inconsistent part of it. The white castle picture has the cliffs from the Riftlands picture, but the skybox in the white castle picture has the sky "burning", while the Riftlands picture has blue skies.

Because it's not how it was, if you're stop paying your subscription your Diablo account just went into trial mode and you couldn't play any content beyond Leoric and couldn't access your highlvl characters, also you loose mount in Wow.

Different zones have different skyboxes. Heck sometimes the skybox shifts within the same zone.

But it looks like its part of the same zone. The cliffs you see in the white castle picture is just the Riftlands cliffs from another perspective.

We can even see a second "city" in the blue-ish fog on the left of the main one

I wouldn't call that "burning", looks more like a sunset or sunrise type of coloring.

Maybe even a sandstorm with those orange clouds.
