When challenging a Kzin, a simple scream of rage is sufficient. You scream and you leap.

That's pretty fanciful tbh.
Labour+Lib Dem+Green = 215 seats, including the SNP, Plaid, Alliance and the SDLP gets to 270 that's still nearly 100 seats short of the Tories which would have to be made up without the support of Labour heartlands in the Midlands and the North.
A remainer simply could not have won this election.
Despite getting an overall low percentage and no seats, I wouldn't discount the impact Farage had.
The Brexit party was only running in areas where theyd proved they were just drawing voters from Labour in their strongholds, and not impacting Tory votes.
If that's true, they certainly helped ensure some seats. You can see in many, like Blyth Valley - a 70 year Labour seat, that with the Brexit party voters Labour would easily have won.

It's not baseless though. The other parties wanted to Cancel Brexit apart from Corbyn who wanted Remain Vs Leave INO.
This election was less about party policies and more about Brexit and Corbyn. The percentage voting Conservatives barely went up. If Labour had let Brexit happen in October and replaced Corbyn with ANYONE they would have walked it.

Seems the gulf between Scotland and England is widening more. I wonder how long that will be sustainable.
Hi, neutral observer here, I'm excited to see you guys were smart enough to vote for Boris and will be leaving the EU by October 31st.
At this point, I just want the English to fuck off already. Everyone is sick and fucking tired.
The EU should reject any further extensions and whatnot, give the UK a take it or leave it deal that protects EU interests.
If they take it and leavers don't like it and moan about it that's the UK's political problem. If they don't and they crash their own economy that is also the UK's problem.
The British political system is self evidently incapable of self correction and the 3 years of a slow and managed disaster was not enough to shake them out of their stupor, so let them have their unmitigated disaster.
Arguing with Brexiteers is also a complete waste of breath, no amount of fact, evidence or logic will change their minds. They are akin to 1944 Nazis, with disaster looming on the horizon they are just becoming more ideologically entrenched and extreme.
It's a valid analogy, especially considering the politics of Brexiteers. It will get a whole lot worse before it gets any better.
My views on Labour loss -
Corbyn gambled with Brexit and it failed.
Labour policies ARE very popular. Maybe the total nationalisation is just too far (especially with the unions at the helm) but this was a reflection on Corbyn more than Labour.
There's a huge amount of people that simply wouldn't ever vote for Corbyn. For all the good he's stood up for in the past, people simply don't trust him and his connections with people like the IRA, Hezbollah and Hamas are naive at best. It doesn't help when he goes on Iranian TV to say the BBC is biased to say that Israel has a right to exist.
I also think Labour underestimated how much support there still was for Brexit and that people were willing to drop any other policies just to get it done and not drag it out with another referendum. If he'd just let it pass in October as planned it would have been a non-issue.
Between these, and the Brexit party skimming off thousands of votes in Labour strongholds they fucked themselves over.
If Brexit has been done already, and anyone else but Corbyn was in charge, they would have walked it.

Congratz to UK for defeating communist and antisemites. Reason prevailed.
