All of that for nothing. Now we got a Trump base that has been galvanized. Looks like 4 more years unfortunately.
What the fuck did people think would happen? This was a waste of time from the beginning.
Honestly the impeachment was about as flaccid as issuing a censure.
Edit: just realized I combined impeachment with removal. I meant the vote to remove was pointless.

Another good day for this administration. Should the year continue as such, we can expect a second term.

Yep. NOT impeaching him (regardless of what the corrupt Russian senate does) would have been morally abhorrant. And now the democrats can use this leading up to the election. I don't think anyone seriously expected the Moscow controlled senate to remove.
And man, I've already had to ignore 4 more Russian sockpuppet accounts today.
Fucking hell. What reality do you live in? This was the impeachment trial where republicans voted to not interview any witnesses. Or, you know, try and gather any evidence at all.
The republican party has the rotten stench of a steaming pile of rat droppings that's been out under a hot sun for a week. Its corrupt from top to bottom and its members have no moral compass or shred of decency at all. The party needs putting down like a rabid dog. The acquital of this criminal in chief makes that abundently clear.
Over the last decade given what we've seen happen the world over, I've often wondered how democratic nation states end up under the control of tyrants and what it is that leads to the death of their democracies. Now I know. I've had a front row seat to that happening to one of the two governing parties of the united states. If it wasn't for the democrats and the system of checks and balances people like you would be clapping and cheering on the worlds newest tyrant in charge of the worlds only superpower.
Just stopping by to laugh at everyone who thought he'd be impeached.
I'll post again in November when he wins re-election. Take care until then!
Infracted.

Stating the obvious does not make you look smarter.
Everyone knew the outcome, from the House to the Senate, to the guy who keeps bushes trimmed outside.
The point was to get everything into public records and to assert the power of the legislative branch. There's more than one election coming up and every yes and no vote will be judged voters.
If you think nothing came out of the process then you weren't paying attention.

Unpopular opinion, Manchin voting no on impeachment should merit expulsion from the party.
There's a world of difference between trying to appeal to a right leaning state and being facile in the abuse of office to stay in power. The latter is Republican behavior.
West Virginia is not worth that level of ethical stain, I'm sorry.
