Cassidy's New Blood Challenge has started! November 9 through November 23 players can earn new limited-time rewards by watching Twitch streams, and by playing games in Quick Play, Competitive Play and Arcade.

Saddle up and ride into action to earn new limited-time rewards, including the Sandstorm Cassidy skin.

From now until November 23, players will be able to earn a player icon, seven unique sprays, and Sandstorm Cassidy (epic) for a total of nine new rewards.

Playing games in Quick Play, Competitive Play, and Arcade will earn you a limited-time player icon, an Ana and Cassidy spray, and Sandstorm Cassidy, in addition to regular weekly rewards! Each win counts as two games.

Cassidy’s New Blood Challenge drops will be available November 9 – November 23. All channels streaming in the Twitch Overwatch game category will be available for rewards.

I mean i wouldn't name my kid Micheal. Cole Cassidy being a "real" name doesn't mean i have to think it's good.

Their only mistake was making the truncated, referred-to form of his name "Cassidy" instead of "Cole." Way too many syllables for a callout. Only heroes I can think of that are referred to by their full three-syllable name are Lucio and Orisa, both of which don't have the same "d" consonant stop interrupting it in the third syllable as "Cassidy"

Zenyatta is just "zen," Soldier:76 is "Soldier," Symmetra is "Symm," Widowmaker is "Widow," Brigitte is "brig," Wrecking Ball is "hamster." Hell, even most of two-syllable heroes have their names shortened down; junkrat is "junk," roadhog is "pig," baptiste is "bap," doomfist is "doom," torbjorn is "torb," reinhardt is "rein."

Cassidy as "Cass," though? Just seems weird. Like I said. Should've just gone with "Cole." That sounds more immediately "Cowboy" anyway.



Other than that I don't give a damn about the name change. It's Blizzard's game and they can change what they want. It seems this actually is spurring them to release some new Overwatch lore for the first time in literally years.
