this is beyond ridiculous. leveling was ajoke already and htey are nerfing it ? just remove leveling to 50 completly and leave storymode or something there.

  3. #3
Should remove levels in any future expansions above 60, instead have a system where you still do quests/dungeons etc but your character becomes powerful in other ways. In 3-4 expansions we will be at 120 again...

This is it! This was the FINAL straw. Unsubbing, UNBELIEVABLE! Shame on you Blozzard

Scared of big numbers? 3-4 expansions is 6-8 years in real life. Enough time will pass to do a second level squish if needed.

People seems to forget that chromie time and BfA now covers 1-60 instead of 1-50. Naturally they need to reduce the xp.

Can you even finish a zone at this rate?

And? We now have talent trees where every new level gives you an extra point. So leveling is here actually a good thing to allow us to get deeper in the trees. The Level-Nerf really does not matter at all right now. It only became ridiculous when there was 0 reason to level and the numbers became high without bringing anything on the table when you reached the last row in the old talent trees.

More-so about consistently applying a band-aid to a problem rather than looking for a better solution or being scared of big numbers.

Again: All 1-50 Zones in DF now covers 1-60. And yes, you defintively can finish a zone at this rate. I personally think that the numbers might be a bit too much but we are still full into xp-tuning phase of the expansion.

Cool. Why are people getting outraged over this, exactly?

I've been lvling an army of gnomes all named (Consonant)ilburd and doing zones I'm missing for Loremaster. With a few dungeons sprinkled in (usually to get me to the next mount increase level) I've usually done 3-4 zones before reaching 50 depending on the size. DK did Feralas, Krasarang Wilds and Townlong Steppes and went from lvl 20 to 45, so maybe I can squeeze in Desolace there too.

Why is it a band-aid? Leveling was again only an issue when you got nothing out of it except getting weaker after every level. Leveling in DF gives you talent points; this is not a bandaid, we now have an incentive to level again.

Because there is nothing WoW fans love more then to outrage
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

60 is the new 50. Literally. New players will skip Shadowlands completely and just level from 10 to 60 in BFA and then go to Dragon isles.

So leveling from 1 to 60 in Dragonflight should take as much time as leveling from 1 to 50 does now. Which it will, since currently you need 2163990 XP to level from 1 to 50, and in Dragonflight you will need 2091800 XP to level from 1 to 60. It is slightly less, but not by much.

No, i can totally understand it: getting kicked out of chromie-time because you reached level 50 when you didn't want to because you are in the mid of a zone is a shitty feeling.
That said, this is an issue of chromie-time and not one of blizzard itself. (and yes, if you want to, you can level 49 and a few % before 50 and disable xp gain, but i can't understand why this is necessary to kick people out)

You don't have to play through ALL previous expansions. You can get to 50 with 1. You just have more expansions to choose from in the future.

i like the change and its normal to nerf the xp from 50-60.

  19. #19
Totally expected and normal for an expansion switch, you don't want people stuck in 50-60 hell when they really just want to get to the current stuff.

It's basically always been like this, nothing to see here, move along.

Oh- okay, but why? The 50-60 I understand, they have always done this at the end of an expansion, but why any change for 1-50? Won't this make leveling a bit disorienting? It's already so fast you never even see much of the world.
