What major lore villains are left after Deathwing?

    vanilla featured C'thun.
    BC featured Illidan.
    Wrath featured Arthas.
    Cata features Deathwing.

I guess the emerald nightmare is still out there, but anything else?

Azshara and Sargeras are probably the biggest names remaining.

Kil'Jaeden is still available as well as Mal'Ganis (from those we have fought before).

from what i've read, it seems Queen Azshara isn't playing a "raidboss" role in Cata, so she's still a minor possiblity

Nothing prevents Bliz from create another major vilains, wow is not just the game and the lore.

there's also the infinite dragonflight as well. While not being major, definately something going on there.

Burning Legion and Sargeras are the biggest thing, I mean a dark titan? heh goodluck 'IRDROODlolz'

More like a major possibility. I recall Blizzard saying that the reason we won't see (she will be mentioned but not visable in game) Azshara in Cata is ebcasue Blizzard wants to give her her own expansion.
Forget everything you know about everything.

Ah cool, She does make an appearance ingame, somewhere in ashenvale if a remember correctly, cause a "unique" model and texture was datamined.

I think Azshara comes in very handy for blizz as an xpansion. But then again there are the Titans and what about a new super-duper-hurr-durr villain? :P

    defeated != killed

    Azshara
    Sargeras
    Mal'ganis
there could be an all powerful leader of the old gods?
    Kil'jaeden
Nozdormu, if he is the leader of the infinite flight
And two possiblities with the titans, firstly we kill them cuz they try to *purify* our planet i.e destroy and remake it like in Algalon lore, on the other hand after we defeat sargeras the titans could realise the strength of the heroes of azeroth and take us to new dimensions to kill stuff

Except he's not? He was pulled back into the twisting nether. Check your lore before posting.

Am I the only one that would find it really entertaining and funny for Kael'thas to make another appearance?

The Elemental lords are Al'Akir, Ragnaros, Neptulon and Therazane, which are part of Cataclysm, also we have already "defeated" Ragnaros in Molten Core when we banished him back to the elemental plane, much when we banished Kil'Jaeden back to the Twisting Nether.

    Edit: Yay, 100 posts ^_^

The remaining old gods, the remaining piece of the Nightmare contained in the Rift of Aln, Azshara, Nozdormu (who created the infinite dragonflight to try and prevent his death which will probably in turn cause it since all the events they tamper with involve the Horde and Alliance forming so its obvious they are responsible for his death i.e. heroes/adventurers from those factions...), not to mention Kil'Jaeden and several unknown leaders of the Burning Legion and of course Sargeras... after that who knows... like others have said Blizzard will probably create new villains along the way like they did with the Infinite and Twilight dragons, the Emerald Nightmare, the Scarlet Crusade, the Defias, the Twilight's Hammer cult and many others...
