    New set:

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Now that I think of it, those neckerchiffs/shawl/scarves are a blessing: There's a lot of good transmogs with bad neckholes.

  3. #523
Yeah, sets that expose your neck are pet peeve of mine. Especially when rest of it is huge chunk of stone or metal. And you have your naked neck. Or part of arms. I hate it.

Blood Knights and Sunwalkers becoming human paladins - pussy shit.

Disgusting godless savages find Jesus too.

An'she? The Shadowmoon Clan? Never heard of 'em.
Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.

Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.

The writers are just supremely disinterested in the finer cultural details of all the different races and sub groups or have simply no love and understanding for them. Maybe they are also just too incompetent to write for them. Everyone has to love eachother nowadays.

The puddle that is modern WoW lore gets shallower and shallower. They forgot to put a Calia Forsaken there though.

A Calia Forsaken preaching would genuinely be the least irritating aspect of such a setup since it at least makes sense.

Order Halls and their consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

I just completely despise the light forsaken. Calia would have been much more interesting and fitting as the hidden new leader of the Cult of Forgotten Shadow.

Race halls or race campaigns would be much more promising compared to class halls in my opinion. Even though they might need more ressources than class order halls. But i guess the writers could homogenize the crap out of them as well.

It's so weird to see Aethas at the Trading Post buying a gift for Jaina to restore their friendship. It looks like this dude has no self-respect whatsoever. I mean, she killed his people and he's trying to befriend her again. Blizzard can't be serious.

It fits his character. Aethas tried his best to make things work. He was willing to overlook Jaina's antics, he even supported her with his vote. He walked a fine line, and tried to make the best of his position for all involved - even as Jaina was throwing fits left and right.

That he'd be the bigger man now and try to mend fences even though it really wasn't his fault only reinforces that kind of character. He's willing to swallow his pride even if he's not in the wrong, in the name of peace. It takes a lot of moral fiber to see the bigger picture like that, and bow your head even when you're not the one in the wrong.

Aethas, as Horde representative, voted for Alliance and Kirin Tor military intervention against the Horde at Theramore. He sold the symbol of Blood Elf royalty to the Kirin Tor for a shot at getting his apartment back. He was successfully bested by a harpy and a ghost who took turns to decide who'd sexually take advantage of him next. His biggest nemesis was a space otter stealing his muffin and he was so afraid of the otter he put a hit out on it.

Not only is this in character, to do anything else would be a deep misrepresentation of him as a person.

Calia would be better as a living woman around which living Lordaeron nationals rally around, serving as the pretext for someone like Genn, the Scarlets or whoever to want to reconquer Lordaeron and oust the Forsaken. Natalie Seline meanwhile should be undead and leading a much more prominent Forsaken Cult of the Forgotten Shadow. Alas, we got the opposite.

When it comes to her current iteration, distancing Calia from how she's basically a flawless holy homunculus makes her even worse and having either extremely zealous, extremely repentant or outright masochistic undead holy priests be the ones preaching the religion they espoused in life after being inspired by their perfect Queen is at least a fairly interesting twist we haven't seen before and meshes with what lore there is on the interaction between the Light and regular undead.

To be honest, the living Lordaeron nationals already have Turalyon for that. And he would be much better suited for this role than Calia, who literally abandoned her people and did nothing for many years.

As a symbol she easily trumps him since she's the representative of the actual royal line. Someone like Turalyon or Genn would be the actual military mind behind it. Also the change I'm suggesting'd also involve tossing out her priest order hall appearance so we can have her be helping out anonymously or have been protected by royalists or what have you.

The Menethil line is disgraced and forgotten ever since Arthas Menethil laid waste to Lordaeron.

Turalyon has been the de-facto King of Stormwind for 5 years (the 2 years of SL plus the 3 years of peace timeskip).

The Lordaeron survivors will rally to Turalyon, not to the disgraced Calia Menethil, sister of the brat who destroyed Lordaeron in the first place.

He got unlucky that the woltk writer got him. If he had survided until the good writer mop+ came in he may had gotten what he deserved. Tbc and woltk was basically just cartoon villains like arthas and big names thrown in for rule of cool.

There's no chance that Blizzard could gracefully handle a nuanced racist character. There's even less of a chance that the community and press wouldn't rake them over the coals regardless of their success.

Please stop imagining things. Turalyon is only a regent. Nothing more. And, according to Shaw, only nobles care about him (and they're historically always corrupt), the rest of Stormwind residents miss Anduin.

I mean... that's par for the course. That's what Blizzard does best. They stumble when they try to be more clever than that.

Learn what the word "de-facto" means and how it is contrasted by "de jure".

I know that people like you want Stormwind to reflect 2022 America, but Stormwind is actually a Medieval society, which means that it's the nobles who matter, and the peasants are worthless. At no point does Shaw say that "only nobles" care about him anyway.

You also have no proof whatsoever that the Stormwind residents miss Anduin, I'm not interested in headcanon.

She alone wouldn't of been able to do much at all. She didn't "Abandon them"

She could have joined the Argent Dawn. She could have been the leader of lordaeronian humans in the Alliance. There were many possibilities. But instead, she chose to hide with her husband and daughter.
