The statue emphasizes her mobility, activeness, and enjoyment in fighting. All strong parts of her character design. Doesn't have to hit every point every time. But its obviously not playing up sexuality like the removed pose was.

You have unusual sense of sex appeal, mate.
You aren't able to differentiate between a character being attractive and a character having sexuality as a strong part of their character design?

Anyway, I'm headed to bed. It's been real....well its been real dumb.

Agree 100% with the decision, it's totally unnecessary to oversexualize video game characters like that. If you want to look at a chick's ass remember there's always porn.

Even on the only character there that really shows some glutes, its still way less emphasized.

This actually highlights why the Tracer pose was so dumb. Widowmaker is a femme fatale. A sexy pose makes sense for her character.
Personally I always thought that the Tracer version of the "Over the shoulder" pose has more of a "Catch me if you can" look to it.

Emphasizing how the pose that was removed was readily found somewhere else on Google images just by going "Over the shoulder pose"

Because nothing says character fitting like uninspired posing.

I will never cease to be amazed at the myriad interpretations of such a stock pose.

It's totally unnecessary to have high detail 3D models even ... just reuse old Quake one models and pain them a different color to make recognizing easier.

Don't see you advocating for that.

    Doesn't matter what you think.

Unless you are good at harassing corporations with endless emails and bombing their twitter feed 24/7, they don't care about you.

Corporations like Blizzard only response to money and harassment.
Internet forums are more for circlejerking (patting each other on the back) than actual discussion (exchange and analysis of information and points of view). Took me long enough to realise ...

Yeah, it's pretty surprising that some people thought sexy time when they saw that pose.

The human mind is wierd as fuck.

All I can do is sigh...

I mean really do these people have nothing better to do then complain? In a game where people are shooting, maiming and killing each other the fault they found was with a pose that showed ass? An Ass that was covered and you see many times when out in the real world etc.

    Its just pathetic...

Apparently so well they were acting before any of this ever happened.

But then who would we blame? Crap, guess we left that part out.

Says more about them than the artist who created the pose IMHO. LOL

So why should a pose that's questionable by a minority be removed at all if you can watch porn instead? Why did you even look at her ass? All those examples can be countered by the same level of dumb examples, like the one I've written.

All these arguments are pointless. The most likely assumptions are that Blizzard probably wouldn't even bother with removing the pose if there wasn't any whining, and now that it's removed, a bunch of people like yourself that before this happened couldn't even give less of a shit about the poses, now come up with some excuses for no apparent reason. You want to defend Blizzard no matter what, or are you just supporting your sjw brothers?

  14. #714
People on both sides of this argument are acting like idiots. SJWs that can't handle sexuality, and anti-SJWs that can't handle Blizzard deciding to remove a stupid pose.

Both sides are literally complaining about something that would have taken up <0.1% of their time in Overwatch. Tracer's butt doesn't affect any of you.

Exactly. But the question remains, if they already added a pose to the game, why remove it now if it doesn't really matter? Why apologize for nothing?

Who cares? Do you really need everything in life explained? They made a decision, it's their game, and it doesn't affect you at all.

Because "muh soggy knees". Apparently Sexy Women are toxic to the eyes of Human beings.

True, but it speaks about the game developers.

And now the official word is that "reason for removal wasn't that some people had an issue with it" and in the same statement they mention that "it did affect their decision". Wat?

  19. #719
A male character strikes this pose he is a badass, a female strikes this pose and shes somehow being sexualized? Double standards are... double?

It shows a direction of design philosophy some might find worthy of talking about, lo and behold, nearly 40 pages of it.
