It's not caving if they agreed with the criticism, which they did. The only valid complaint here is if you disagree with their decision, which is a subjective decision. Everyone is free to disagree. That's all well and good. Take that and $5 and get yourself a cup of coffee. But to levelheaded and honest folks everywhere, your disagreement means nothing other than the fact you disagree. Why would they mention it before this thread? It's such a tiny thing. There are probably hundreds of little tweaks that they're discussing internally which we have no idea about. You're looking at it with 20/20 hindsight now the issue has blown up, but before the thread why would they announce that they were possibly changing a victory pose?

You can't just pretend it didn't happen. They never intended on changing it. Don't blindly defend them, no evidence pointed to it and its clear in their first post that they caved, "We'll replace the pose. We want *everyone* to feel strong and heroic in our community. The last thing we want to do is make someone feel uncomfortable, under-appreciated or misrepresented." That doesn't sound like they already planned a replacement in the first place. He would have mentioned it.

Its simple just odd, that while they are okay with Widowmaker being a woman, they don't it to be the case when it comes to Tracer. Her ass is a part of her female attribute. Taking it away because its sexy, is like taking away a pose because its too female or male.

It's not that surprising if you consider that women can have different personalities, and being female doesn't mean you have to show off you "female attributes."

Right now, Kaplan/blizzard is pretty much on puplic trail, on the charge of catering to a censuring person. If they want to be cleared of that charge, then hell yeah i want some insight/proof, that this change has been on their mind for longer then just for the lenght of the OP. I am a consumer, which means that i am part of the jury on this trail. We are pretty much all the jury on this, because we are the people who in the end are going to buy their product. This reaction from Kaplan, both in first and 2nd post, gives me reason to mistrust them. If their game can seemingly be changed on a whim, then some people might not buy the game, because they don't trust the judgement of Blizzard.

Of course as the content creators Blizzard are quite entitled to say they refuse your charges, don't recognise the authority of your court and will carry on with their creative vision without fearing the reactions of the outraged.

I dont think that the pose "shows off" her female attribute, its pretty much just there. What i meant, is that they build her female figuere, thought it was alright and placed it into the game. Later on, when a pose is made of the character, which just shows her back, they are suddenly afraid that the character is too female or sexy. And instead of maybe changing the character to be a bit less skin tight, they just remove a post.... So instead of changing something, they remove somethinbg.... Thats just a bad reaction in my book.

Ofcourse, they can refuse my charges I have no power other the power over my own money Also, several years of forum surfing have taught me 1 thing, and that is that the playerbase have no power and out-of-beta feedback is something they dont give a crap about. Unless when it comes to a female character in Overwatch ofcourse

I'm pretty sure if you think about it for two seconds you'll see how "We'll replace the pose" and "We actually already have an alternate pose that we love and we feel speaks more to the character of Tracer" are not mutually exclusive statements.

While i do see the comedy in your post, i would like to add a little note. People are not pissed that blizzard changed something to a response from the community, but that they changed something after only hearing from a specific part of the community. Some people feel like that their voice was not heard in this discussion and that blizzard made a decision before the talk had gone around the table.
