Angela is cool - you guys are lucky to have her. Not on the same rank as Kohl and Adenauer but those guys were something else.

You are afraid of a bunch of spoiled brats that have had their political cherries popped. I think you are paying them too much attention.

The collegiate 'far left' in the US is fairly tame by international standards. The worst you get is the American equivalent of Whitlamites.

One guy can hardly be described as "the far left". Am i missing some major number of representatives swing to the left?

Again, UK had to obey the EU laws but had voting power. Now, they still have to obey the EU laws if they don't want to go broke, but now they don't have any voting power whatsoever.
The current belief is that an EU deal will be reached that will give them all of the benefits of the EU market without any of the requirements. This is not going to happen. Nobody is going to let it happen. The deal will suck and it will be an example for any country wanting to leave the EU.

Nah those are just kids being kids. Their grandparents were hippies, their parents were punk rockers and now they are indie-music progressives. Most of them turn good as soon as they get a real job and find out that acting like a child means you are getting treated like a child.

The problem is, you don´t have a center-left that occassionally cares about the stuff that taxes should be used for, like bridges, roads, n stuff...

I'm disinclined to believe you given the warped American perception of the political spectrum.

They probably have the same reaction to it as we do with "communism". If you say "communism" to an Eastern European you will either get strangled or kissed on the cheeks.

Bernie Sanders has a huge following of Berniebros, so it's hardly "one guy."
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

Ah let´s see, though since the US candidates seem to try and be as ridiculous as one can get, the far left probably get a chance at some point.
