Outlaw nerfes - re-roll Assassination?

Eh, It's week 3. It's not that much AP wasted. Especially with the catch up mechanics in place. I'm fine with where rogue is, I went into legion thinking I'd have to level 2 weps for cleave and non cleave fights. I'm just a bit salty that I hopped on the assassination train only because sub was simming so low. In a month though, likely none of this will matter.

What catch up mehcanics ? They do not exist if youre actively playing the class and getting the knowledge. The suposed catch up mechanic for your off specs is knowledge but it realy isn't, cause every single point spent in a spec you won't play anymore will never return, they are just wasted. Maybe 3 months from now we will have so much knowledge we will get the 150k points wasted in 1 heroic, but still you wasted those 150k points and had to wait months to have enought knowledge to make up for the loss and still your main spec will be 150k ap short of what it could be. And on the near future raiding with a 18 weapon oposed to a 22 one is a hughe difference, specialy undergeared, not much because of the damage but because of the extra health you get with those 4 extra points.

it's not wasted tho

you'll still use outlaw for aoe/cleave fights (4-5 bosses out of 7 in EN)
you'll still use it for mythic+
and basically anything outside ST raids

I seriously cannot understand why the AP isnt simply avaliable for every spec you have, they make it so you can change specs at will but screws off specs with AP not being shared. It bogles my mind.

Played assa from start, gonna stay assa till the end. I get that some mythic Progress raiders are in an uproar, I don't get why EVERYONE is freaking out. Over the coure of legion there will be a lot of tuning, next one will be at least after 7.1 or when night hold open and we get the New tiers.

Even if I would deal 50k less than a sub, I will stay assa because sub (for me) play like a clunky piece of s***.

Play what you like, deal with the changes and make the best out of it. For 90% of the Players that losing their s*** right now it doesnt really matter at all.

I dont think you should reroll to Assassination if you have invested AP in Outlaw. There really is not any point doing that because Sub will prolly be the best alternative outside of outlaw.

I've been playing WoW for years. My rogue was my first character in Vanilla. I don't do forums usually, but this topic finally forced me to register and not just lurk.

Why is everyone freaking out? I leveled up all 3 spec weapons just to play with each and see which was funner for me. I've been using outlaw mostly because I've always played Assassination. My DB are at level 18. My daggers are both at 15 at this point. I've been trying Subt for the past week, but I can't figure out AOE. I had someone threaten to kick me out of a group because I was doing 100k in AOE while trying to figure out the Subt rotation. The response was "play Outlaw or get out of the group." The fact that random heroics are getting responses like this is disappointing. The fact that everyone is stuck on what everyone else says is the best really ruins the experience.

Just have fun with it. Try out each spec. Getting to 15 is cake. Your AK scales with each weapon so getting there is fast and easy. Getting the relics is the harder part, but hopefully you've been doing your world quests and stock piling your extras that can be used for each weapon type. Then just play what you love playing. These changes were made to bring all specs in line for DMG. Blizzard wants people to not be forced down one path, and I appreciate that work they're doing to accomplish that. I would hate for us all to be forced to only use one spec, it ruins the fun of having choices.

Actively managing something that doesn't either make the spec feel shit or OP depending on luck is fun. As for Assassination... Well... I don't really need to say anything. Put up Rupture... wooo..
