That doesn't hold much water to anyone who isn't biased, any logic person would question, why are we only now hearing about this?

Because most of them probably felt that bringing that accusation to light wasn't worth the trouble it would cause them personally, but when he flat out lied about it in the middle of a Presidential Debate, it was a bridge too far. That, and the fact that once other women came out about their experiences, it meant that they wouldn't be alone in the media spotlight, as a figure to be distrusted. Others had shared their experience, which allows for some solidarity.

When validating the first two stories, at least, the New York Times made sure to ask others who knew the women, and said that the women had indeed told them about these assaults all those decades ago. Unlikely that all 20+ people for each woman was lying about it. Certainly a lot less likely than Trump lying about it, which actively serves his interests.

Besides, why is this even a controversy? Are we going to believe the women who say they were groped by a man, or the man who said he gropes women? This isn't "he said she said." This is "they're both saying the same damn thing."

Exactly. A situation that would usually be "My word against his" where 'he' is an extremely wealthy and influential celebrity has become "My word and some of his words against some of his other words" followed by his behavior reinforcing your position. Add in a support network of others coming forward and yeah, now would be a good time to step up.

The timing of the reporting certainly deserves scrutiny. That's fine. Although the claims in general should be scrutinized heavily, due to the severity. There's evidence that they reported these crimes to other people when they occurred. Just not to the police.

But let's not act too surprised when Trump brags about kissing women without their permission, and then women come out and claim Trump kissed them without their permission. I mean, exhibit A.

Go look at any recently uploaded video from a Youtuber. It will probably be stuck at some low amount. Any drastic increase in views causes the view count to lock up on suspicious increase to prevent view bots.
