Just based on what swung the election, there were no strong blue-collar candidates on the democratic ticket. Sanders did nothing for them, and his campaign in fact snubbed organizations such as the ADA who work closely with blue collar works who attempted to get him to take a break from his college rallies and speak to them. He was a single demographic candidate, and there's no reasonable expectation that he would have performed better. Originally Posted by Mush
