Their is no perfect solution (currently). Capitalism with SOME socialism is a good thing but too much of either is a bad thing as history even recent history shows us.

You also have to remember that when a country is rich almost anything works because there's enough to go around no matter what. The true test comes when the country is not so well off. The U.S. is supported by the dollar being the world reserve currency. That will likely change soon if history is any indicator.

1st, keep in mind only about 15% of the population fall into the "Trumpsters" bucket. Otherwise, I think we can say pretty comfortably that "C" will be their answer.

Especially if Trump does have the TPP officially canned. China is already working on deals to swoop in the second the US backs out.

Ya I would put money on the next reserve currency being Renminbi, or possibly Bitcoin. Especially if the U.S. doesn't get off oil fast enough. I have mixed feelings about the TPP. Some of the things in it are down right scary, like the ability for corporations to sue countries if the countries actions are hindering their businesses. Of course not entering into it hurts the U.S.'s position in the world economy. There's no right decisions here in my opinion. It all looks pretty ugly for the world as a whole.

Very much agreed. Wait until the facts come out.

    (g) Republicans don't care about facts or ideology they are team players and will vote for their team no matter what they do.

My favorite is how many tens of thousands of Republicans who bought

and were MAD LIKE HELL that Obama apologized for everything are now saying "BEG Romney. Get on your knees like a whore and apologize to Trump."

"Nothing Matters" should be a book title of the Trump phenomenon by a far left politician who then runs in 2020 and wins, keeping the circle going...

  8. #328
Republicans like Romney and Cruz would do best to distance themselves from Trump and tell those who are demanding an apology to fuck off. Trump is a ticking time bomb, it's only a matter of time before he manages to massively fuck something up while in office.

The only and I mean ONLY reason that the above scenario wouldn't happen is if Trump's handlers manage to successfully point blame for his behavior/fuckups elsewhere, they seem marginally more competent than Trump is.

You guys are TOO funny, with your anti Trump shit. I hope you all know, you look just like the dip shit reps you made fun of for the last 8 years. And it is glorious.

Its very amusing looking in as an independent and watching the left melt down harder than people did Obamas first term. They're the biggest hypocrites i've seen in a very long time. Most people who voted for trump would be very happy if trump settled with a compromise on his policies but overall came out on top like he so far is.

What really gets me about Trump and his supporters, and I guess perhaps politics in general but happening incredibly more often with Trump, is that unlike anything else that works this way, it's the people he didn't make his promises to that are having to hold him accountable, while the people who do support him are defending his broken promises.

Imagine going to a car dealership. A salesman offers you a car at $15,000 dollars, and you accept the deal because the competitor was offering you one at a higher price. While you're signing the paperwork, the salesman says "Oh, by the way, I've changed the price. The car is now $20,000." Instead of you, it's the guy buying from a salesman at the next desk over who says, "Hey, that's messed up! You offered him the car for a lower price before!"

Adding further to the absurdity, rather than the salesman having to back down to his promised price because he's now arguing against two people, it's you, his own customer, who says "No, let me tell you how this is a great deal! I'm so happy to pay more, and you're an idiot to tell me otherwise!"

This is the real reason for the current state of politics, and Trump is its worst incarnation, as he is with so many other things. He has a significant group of supporters who are so fanatical that he doesn't have to keep his promises. They defend him, when they should be the ones fighting hardest to hold him to it. It's absolutely insane.

They'll make excuse after excuse for it, and continue clicking their heels, dreaming of how different things will be starting next year.

I don't think they really care, most of them don't realize though that Trump is far more Liberal than he is Conservative, which I find somewhat amusing.

Mostly because people vote along party lines instead of the stances of the candidate.

Most people in America couldn't give a rat's ass about conservatism, in so much as conservatism implies small government and traditional social values. The Republican base is only conservative in the sense that they tend to adhere to some form of white identity politics, and thus oppose reforms that would upset the white dominated status quo. But most of those rural and working class voters would gladly accept handouts, they just don't want handouts for anyone else.

The positions Trump argued for leave little room for compromise especially if you count his popular rhetoric. The compromise for "locking her up" so far appears to leting her go scott free.

I think it's funny that those on the Left seem pissed that he is coming across...now, as someone that's willing to compromise his positions, when they should be glad he's taken a softer stance.

And mainstream media did a good job of brainwashing you. But they did a bad job at telling you how to get over things.
pointless discussion, I'm not going to prove anything to you, and you definitely not going to prove anything to me either. Just glad you people lost, finally no liberalism in the upper echelones of power.
