What i want from the new xpac (Return of the Losts?).
-21 new islands, including Kezan, Zandalar, Tel Abim and Kultiras;
-Zandalar and Kultiras as city hubs, with gated quest lines;
-Kezan and Tel Abim have a numerous quest lines;
-Other 17 islands are either small or medium size that have a quest line each;
-Other 17 islands are not shown on the world map, and will show up there only after player starts the local quest line;
-WQ will show up after player completed the island's quest line;
-New islands have a different unique types of resources for professions;
-54 underwater locations of different sizes including Nyalotha are spread across the sea map, available for exploring, with quest lines, rare enemies and treasures to find;
-Ships and submarines that allow players to cross the seas and find the new islands and find the underwater locations without getting fatigue;
-New Tinker class with Specialist (tank), Apothecary (healer) and Bombardier (range dps) specs;
-New Character Customization System;
-Phased old world with WQ added;
-Rewamped questing system.

Would be neat to get that.


oh, and Jaina, Alleria and Sylvanas bitching about whom the Silithus belongs to until Azshara will handle them all with class.

Have we really gone back to discussing the RotL "Leak" in my absence(and absence of the Brotherhood, we need more NA memebers). Think this is the 4th or 5th time someone brought it up after being done in the past 30hrs.

We did for a time but a few of us were able to steer the conversation back on track!

Problem with high elves for me as a playable race is by the lore there just isn't many of them left. Most became blood elves, bar the small faction in dala we tend to see more dragons masquerading as high elves than high elves them selves

This made me think. What would the general opinion be on exclusive races.

Like if they added High Elves, but they could only be dragonkin/dragonsworn class. Tho the class would also be available for other races (humans, tauren, nelf, belf, gnome are some I remember in lore)

Other idea would be to make high elves and dragons a single race, like worgen buy maybe have each form be better at certain things to a degree where it's not forced to play in one or other (like minor racials, High elf has 1%more haste, but dragon form has 1% more crit instead)

Im like 99% sure they will not do subraces. What they WILL do is more character customization. New hair/horns/faces/tattoos/maybe even different hunches for orcs trolls etc but last one is unlikely.

People always get confused with the whole sub race thing. Subraces are literally just more customization options go 90% of the races. When we ask for them we are essentially just using a buzzword to ask for more options. That's it. That's all.

True, since lore wise it seems that right now the player faction ("Heroes/Champions of Azeroth") consists of a couple dozen members of the Alliance and Horde, so if members of the High Elves joined the faction their numbers shouldn't need to go up at all.

That's not how trademarks work. They apply to specific categories, not anything with the name.



Why would they do that and not subraces?
Dark Irons are just dwarves with specific skin/hair/eye color.
Nightborne are just Night Elves with a specific skin color and slightly altered hair color.
Mag'har are just Orcs with a different skin color.
"Eredar" are just Draenei with a different skin color.

IM saying subraces come with the expectation of new starting zones. I think they present it as Character Customization and call it a day. Be a dark iron from good old dwarf starting zone etc but you arent officially a dark iron.

There really was no beta update, not even a login text change. Just the version name on the patch server which will basically only change the version text Battle.net launcher uses when saying "updated to x.x.x".

Also, speaking more generally, I have been wrong before and will probably be wrong again. DBC screenshot is in my opinion highly likely to be a DBC edit + photoshop so it should be treated like any other unproven leak posted here. No evidence supporting it or any evidence proving the whole thing fake.

I suspect different people mean different things by "subraces".

If subraces means the option of additional skin / hair colours (e.g. Mag'har, Eredar), I think it's quite likely, as its easy to implement.

If people mean "different shape, but related in lore" (e.g. Forsaken Elf, Taunka), I think that's unlikely, as that's a whole bunch of effort to sort out the clipping on existing gear.
