Now you're arguing something different. You want to change the rules of PvP servers because you want to follow your friends there.

That's not what I said. I'll give you a chance to re-read what I said and try to respond again. If you still can't figure out what I'm saying, please let me know and I'll rephrase and explain better.

There's no reason for me to argue the second point, whether or not PvP servers go or stay, what happens happens. As I said, Blizzard have always moved in that direction and now they make it complete.

It's the same exact thing. By server transferring to PVE I turned my PVP flag off. By server transferring back to PVP server I turned my PVP flag on.

And PVP servers will still be a thing. When you flag for PVP you'll be sharing an instance/shard with only other players who are flagged for PVP. It's a win/win. You don't have to worry about any carebear whiners being on your glorious PVP server/shard/instance and you can have fun to your hearts content with the other flagged PVPers.

I'm still not sure what you could possibly have to whine about.

Literally the only difference here is that people who want to turn their PVP flag off don't have to pay a $25 transfer fee and leave their guild & friends. So other than less server transfers and more happy carebears, it's exactly the same (but probably better) for PVPers.

Here's the two scenarios I have seen on PVP servers over the few couple Xpacs.

1) Heavy faction imbalance, so that only 1 faction is actually out there questing in the world
2) More balanced factions but no one is out in the world questing.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating. The biggest thing that killed world content on PVP servers is griefing. I could spend 30 minutes running around timeless isle on a PVE server and never see a rare spawn because the island was full of players. I log over to my PVP server and every single rare is active and alive on the isle because no one is there. The whale is doing laps around the isle for weeks/months on end. What happens when I try to engage one of those rares? I get killed by a Rogue or Druid who is now spam mocking me. OK, no problem PVPers. You win, I'll leave your server. I'll either join a PVE server or one so faction imbalanced that no WPVP ever happens. Now you just went from 1 active player on the Isle to none again. But yeah, blame Blizzard.

So there's no world PVP currently and players who like random world PVP don't get to experience it. Now Blizz can take those few from every server who still like to flag and bundle them together. Now you'll see PVPers in a more faction balanced world where random WPVP can occur. I would suspect this will create a superior WPVP environment than we've seen in the past and it will foster people like me to come back and participate from time to time.

I've got to say, ganking was boring but yet somewhat soothing. I think that if I make ganking part of my regular schedule, I might find a knack for it and unfold that flower of enjoyment.

With PvP servers going away and it being toggle only, ganking lowbies will no longer be possible as I highly doubt many lowbies will enable pvp. So I'm gonna use the rest of legion to enjoy this great past time while I still can.

Well... Blizzard is killing PvP servers. That sums it up pretty well: little kids get enraged over a change they have no clue and don't understand and log in to a game just in order to make other (hopefully) feel miserable to show their anger about this change to the devs. That makes soooooo much sense. XD
