Friend wants me to re-sub, not sure I want to..?

Uhh, so title.

Anyone else who recently re-subbed? What's it like coming back to the game?
I haven't played in like a year, not sure what there is to do in-game. Spam dungeons, do dailies, same old stuff?
Part of me kind of (sort of, maybe) wants to sub and try it out, but what usually happens is I get bored inside an hour and insta-quit.

Anyone with any insights? D:

HFC is pretty fun. Outside raid, I don't really know. I don't really know what anyone ever does outside raid though. Whenever I ask they say dailys and then sort of fade out.

I quit almost exactly a year ago, just when BRF came out. I seem to remember re-subbing and insta-quitting at some point though; definitely did a couple of Mythic dungeons and 2/10 HC BRF (just checked my armory page).
Oh, and naval missions, remember hating doing those as well!

If they're not giving you any incentive to sub, don't.
I'm going to tell you what I tell my friends who ask me to sub again: I could buy years of sub with gold, but I won't, because the game at it's current state is shit and I think that Blizzard doesn't deserve any revenue for it. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

PS: Previous expansion content is not content. Everyone and their mothers have ran mount runs for years.

I do believe I'll hold off for a while, at least until I decide whether to play Legion or not.
Subbing now seems entirely futile if I won't play the next expansion anyway.

I resubbed over Christmas for the first time since Feb 2015, if you are not planning to raid and don't have a fetish for apexis crystals then don't bother. I lasted about 8 hours of played time, 4 of which was just spent catching up with old friends.

Personal opinion for PvE is that there is nothing non-raid wise fun to do which is classified as current content (Tannan may be fun for a few days). I'll be staying away until the pre legion event is on the horizon. If you are happy with previous expansion content then you might find something to do.

I have two friends that always try to get me to resub and raid but I tell them they have to get back to FFXIV and finishing leveling their characters and do some dungeons with me first. They usually stop after that and we go play something else (Diablo 3, TERA, GW2, random Steam shit).

"this close" that makes me laugh we are 8 months away from legion. 8 months is roughly 240 days , two thirds of a year.

I re-subed a week ago and I regret throwing my money for that. Wait until pre-legion patch or just 1-2 days before LEGION coming out. It's still boring as hell. I don't recommend. Read a book or do something more productive or play other video games Cheers.

I know really know what kind of insight can be gained here, "fun" is very subjective .. these "please help me to decide"-threads are a bit tiresome.

Look,
- If you feel like playing - sub for a month and see how it goes. Worst case scenario - you spent $14.99 for nothing. Oh well.. but it's not *that* much money.
- If you're unsure, or if spending $14.99 puts your private budget far into the danger zone: Wait until you have the money or until you feel like the time is right.

I recently resubbed.

It's more or less the same. There are a few reasons I resubbed:

- The game is completely Free to Play thanks to Garrison Gold (and if you're struggling with that, you can kill the Tanaan Medallion Rares).
- I wanted to build a surplus of gold for when Legion launches.
- I wanted to obtain the items that will soon be unobtainable. Things like the Grove Warden mount or the CM rewards.
