Any old timer Deathknights still around?

Rolled my Death Knight three hours after I brought Wrath home from the midnight release. Been playing it ever since, haven't even looked at any other character.

Also, not sure if it has been mentioned, but I miss the old unholy blight.

I miss that so much. That and being able to ghoul it up after dying.

Been here since the start as well but I won't be come Cata. Simply do not enjoy the changes to the rune system nor do I want to play a DPS class without much viable CC for dungeons. Kinda a big deal in the expansion. I love the change but I played Enhancement and Elemental in BC and it was a royal pain in the ass pugging things unless I switched to Resto due to the lack of CC.

been playing my DK since day 1 of wrath and I haven't looked back. When it comes to the rune changes I like it more then now mainly cause it's a priority rotation for both and unholy now (Although UH pres atm on PTR is godly) But the thing I seem to be most excited about is the fact 2H frost is viable again ^_^! I loved 2H frost in Ulduar and when it got nerfed to the ground I died a little inside.

I still miss such awesome abilities as Shadow of Death and Unholy Blight (I really liked the animation for that one too, its a shame they discarded it). However, most of all, I miss my ghoul's voices.

Looking forward to some of the Cata changes though. I quite liked the new Frost on the PTR (though my client broke after 2 days, so didn't really have time to get used to it) and the new Unholy ghoul empowerment seems awesome.
Plus, two hand Frost would hopefully be viable again. DW is fine, but I just don't feel right without a massive sword/axe in my hand.

Frost 2H is more then viable, I'd say of all the DPS spec 2H frost will be last but not by much.

Well generally as the title says, any of us old veteran deathknights that have kept strong and played a deathknight through every nerf?

How will you adapt to the rune changes and some of our beloved talents being moved around.

What was your favourite part of the expansion while playing a deathknight?

I'm just missing the pure shadow damage scourge strike, and the way we could ressurect as a ghoul and the plaguestrike removing hots.

And like having more hp than any other tank which actually made us a viable tank in some of the content.

Played since day 1 of WotLK, and achieved 55-70 in one sitting. Ugh that was rough. Anyone remember Jayde? He was the 'famous' dk that beta tested wrath that made a lot of brought up a lot of critical concerns for the class before it released and now works for Blizzard doing God knows what...I talked to him quite a bit back in the day. good times.

I'm actually quite excited about all the dk changes. I can't agree with some of them but for the most part I do like everything they are doing. I bet Dark Sericulum(sp?) will eventually be scrapped though. To hard and retarded to balance. Blood boil needs to be reverted to it's previous graphic, it makes me eyes blood at the moment.

The most memerable moment was when i was playing my death knight at the start of the expansion when the smart ass level 70s thought ganking some fresh death knights who did ont know how to play their class in Hellfire Peninsula and raping their faces with the overpowered "Hero" class. Still gives me laughter remembering it, after a little beating i would run Outland dungeons with 5 death knights when we could heal ourselves by spamming deathstrike.

That and when i tried out unholy and would transform into a ghoul if you ever lost all of your health and killing people while in your ghoul form and corpse exploding to wreak havoc when almost dead in your zombie form.

I killed three level 70s as a level 63.

The majority of DK's went back to their previous mains because we had some hardcore nerfing (BALANCING) going on. This left the DK population relatively close to the average of other classes, while at the start we almost outnumbered every class combined. Looking at it from that point of view, you can say that the ones that stuck with their DK's since the point that they were released are 'veterans' of the onslaught.

Only reason I stopped playing my DK is because I stopped raiding and I couldn't find anyone to PVP with me this season, so I played my pally. Looking forward to Cata, have always enjoyed DK and I started playing around Ulduar when they weren't that ridiculously OP.
