    Your account will have a home server. You will represent that server in WvW and have your guilds there.
    To move your home server will probably be a fee. But, you can visit other servers with your characters any time you want for free.

    They need to have some reasons for you to pay for a transfer after all...

    Names are unique to the point there can only be one across all servers.

    edit- I can't find a source for it but I know I've read it around these forums before.

    From what I've read you have a home server which you select when you create your account (or your first character). All of your characters will have that one as a home server, and this is the server you will play in WvW with. You can visit other servers freely at any time, but you won't be able to do WvW with them. You can pay to change your home server however. As for guilds, I always assumed they worked cross-server. But I'm not certain.
