Right-wing in this sense doesn't necessarily mean political right-wing.

For example, China would be considered "right-wing authoritarian", despite communism normally being considered far-left.

Uhm... how did Trump suddenly get the money in 2013, for 60 million in Scotland, 20 million in Russia and another 1 billion shared with a Russian oligarch? Would seeing Trump’s taxes, make these expanses more interesting, after his bankruptcy?
It's why I've been "after" his taxes since his election, and perhaps the reason he's be remiss in sharing them. What's interesting is that whatever is in there can't illegal, or the IRS would have investigated/filed charges. So it's legal, but is so bad that Trump has done literally everything to hide them.

36,843 new cases; about 10k fewer than last Sunday and the first time it's been under 40k since the end of June. However I'm not looking too much into it because it's a notorious day for underreporting and testing has been slowing down against the advice of the CDC.

California: 6,520 new cases; 19 deaths
Florida: 3,779 new cases; 107 deaths
Texas: 2,841 new cases; 107 deaths
Tennessee: 1,961 new cases; 21 deaths
Georgia: 1,862 new cases; 33 deaths
Illinois: 1,562 new cases; 18 deaths
Louisiana: 1,181 new cases; 74 deaths

Given the obvious faulty data there's not much I can say about the trends except see what the week brings from Tuesday on. Tomorrow will also be an underreport day.

With cases being more of an unreliable indicator than usual we have to look at the deaths, which were about the same from the previous Sunday at 522, putting the total at 173,128. Unless there's a downward trend in deaths this week the total will likely reach 180k by next Sunday/Monday. I stop just shy of saying it's a certainty only because I hate being 100% pessimistic all the time. After all, the CDC is now saying that there could be 200k deaths by Labor Day.

    Stay safe, folks.

You're working under the assumption that the IRS has the man power to go after rich tax evaders. They've been underfunded for years so they're almost incapable of it.

Or in other words it's intentional double-talk used by these hypocrites (who got wrong answers on some of their own questions).

In other disciplines misleading and/or derogatory terms are being replaced, e.g. widow and orphan in typography, slaves-flashes in photography; so why are these hypocrites deliberately promoting misleading terminology? It seems clear that deliberately misleading terms isn't a good way to change people; and either they are morons - or they don't want to change people but thrive on the conflict.

I'm sure it won't affect him one bit, wouldn't surprise me if he had to be reminded of having a brother. I do have to wonder if it is strange or not when not releasing the cause of death.

It's one of those things where, under normal circumstances, one might simply pass that off as being a desire for privacy (though from what I've seen, I'm fairly certain it was a stroke). Unfortunately, thanks to his brother, these are not normal circumstances, and it's hard not to assume they're intentionally withholding it because it's Covid-related and that would make them look back.

Makes sense, he plays golf while everybody else dies.

If Postmaster General DeJoy doesn’t testify before Congress next week as Speaker Pelosi and I have requested, he should be stamped, returned to sender, and removed from his position.

    Sen. Schumer tweet.

I despise Democrats and especially Democratic Leadership. Try to seem tough while our democracy is crumbling and thinking holding hearings stops shit. If Trump becomes an authoratarian, there are many who helped but the Dems, didnt do too much to stand in the way.
Democrats are the best! I will never ever question a Democrat again. I LOVE the Democrats!

And what can the Democrats in the House do specifically, here, do you think?

Well, actually Pelosi (I did not see this til now) is calling the House back to vote on a bill. I will say they need to act with the purse string and need to do the most extreme. Pelosi can arrest the Post Master I believe. Is this political theatre? Idk, but we if this is what or how much it takes to overthrow our democracy, no hyperbole, then we may be in trouble.

We truly are effed. Polls and in the future this party who wants and will do anything to hold power may have enough power to do damage. I mean in sense this election should not be close. Let's say a 75-85 voting against Trump. It won't and the Dems may barely win the Senate but next cycle cause of the makeup it can easily go back to the Republicans and if they every elect a competent Authoritarian next time, it is over.

Pass a bill that blocks USPS from making mail tougher to deliver during an election, with zero strings attached. McConnell is free to block it, of course.

Wasn't there a recent SCOTUS case that said the House could enforce subpoenas?
