I assume is mostly due to his opponent being a black man, and the Dem stronghold of the state is Detroit, mostly black residents, so even if .5 or 1% of them split their ticket to get the black guy in the Senate, that'd be the difference.

It would be a joke of epic proportions if Wisconsin and Michigan went to recount. The leads Biden has are bang in line with Trump's 2016 wins.

Yeah, I questioned the logic of that too. Even when Trump called for a "halt to the counting"... Biden was still ahead in the number of electoral votes by like +15-20 or something, iirc. So even if it goes to court... I'm not sure what ass-hattery they'd pull off.

That's not how it works, if trump won a state if it stopped counting he'd get all of the electoral votes from it, that media hasn't assigned them in their reporting while they're still counting is a separate matter from that.

None of those states have automatic recounts just for being close. However, it is assumed that recounts will be requested in most of those places, and it is either 1% or 0.5%.

Recounts do not generally change the result however. Vote counting tends to be really accurate, and doing it again doesn't usually change anything. As far as dragging it out in the courts, you have to actually have something to challenge. Right now there aren't a lot of contenders for that being thrown around. You can't sue because you think you should have won if the votes say you didn't, you actually have to point to something specifically that caused you to lose illegitimately.
