It literally won the award for "Best Sim/Strategy Game" in 2019.

It has a layer of paint that could be considered role playing, but it's definitely not in the same field as the label JRPG.

That means it's not also a JRPG?

Considering a game like SMT V would be a JRPG, or Persona 5 would be a JRPG, and Fire Emblem plays nothing like either?

If you call a game a JRPG strictly, which was what started this, people are going to think of games like Ni No Kuni, Persona, SMT, Final Fantasy, etc.

Like I said from the start, it has role playing elements to it. But if you're going to label the game, it's a turn based strategy first and foremost. Hence why it would be nominated and win an award for being a strategy game.

Moving the goalpost from "It's a JRPG" to "Well, it's a tactical JRPG!" is just that, goalpost moving.

Because that's an specifically defined genre already.

They even have a section describing why they're different.

...it also lists several games that aren't even from Japan.

This subgenre of role-playing video games principally refers to games which incorporate elements from strategy video games as an alternative to traditional role-playing game (RPG) systems

And so, turn based strategy rpg made in japan

Which is different than a JRPG. I'm dropping this because this is honestly just becoming silly at this point. If you want to consider Xenoblade Chronicles and Fire Emblem in the same genre of game, by all means proceed.

A single typo does not make a gotcha, for the record. I used JRPG everywhere else, so it should be pretty clear.

They are action and turn based strategy, 2 sub genres in the rpg genre, both made in japan. So yes, I do.

It's literally on every Switch JRPG list rofl. Would've taken you seconds to Google instead of being snarky.

If you took that as snark, sorry. But honestly I'm not sure what kind of response you expect if you just ridicule a game, without giving any explanation at all to elaborate.

Being critical of a game is ridiculing it? Okay...

Call an game overrated without any explanation isn't "being critical". Being critical would be explaining flaws, giving reasoning why you disliked it, why you think it's overrated, etc.
