I like how at no point in his rambling does he actually explain why permabans are a bad thing; just endlessly restating that "they shouldn't exist because reasons."

These are always the complaints conservatives give when they cry about getting banned from twitter. How it's somehow Twitter's political agenda and not them. But people seem to forget, when shit stains get banned, it's almost always because they deserved it. "I got banned for having a conservative viewpoint," is that guy who tweeted out that all LGBT people need conversion therapy or a bullet to the head. He passes it off as "conservative viewpoint" because that sounds better and garners him more sympathy from the slobbering right wing who believe themselves victims. And it doesn't sound as bad as admitting you wanted to kill people.
"I got banned because I want more border security" is from a Karen who tweeted that Mexicans are rapists, murderers, and drug dealers. Again, these people say awful things and then when they're going around trying to gain sympathy, they try to make their horrible viewpoints more kosher.
And the best part is, all of these people are going to be banned even on Musk's Twitter. Why? Because daddy Elon isn't going to protect you from your own stupidity.
Take this as a lesson conservative asshats: If you were ACTUALLY just banned because of your conservative viewpoints, then in reality you should be fine. I have friends who people who state their political opinions with respect to those around them, and who are intelligent and capable of supporting viewpoints with logic instead of fevered emotions. If, on the other hand, you were actually banned because you were a terrible person who said terrible things and then tried to pass it off as if you were being persecuted by evil liberals, then you're still gonna be banned in Elon's Twitter, get rekt.
2014 Gamergate: "If you want games without hyper sexualized female characters and representation, then learn to code!"
2023: "What's with all these massively successful games with ugly (realistic) women? How could this have happened?!"
This is a fairly broad admission that there will continue to be censorship, just not in the form of permanent bans.Musk: I think the, if there are tweets that are wrong, they should, and bad, those should be either deleted or made invisible. And a suspension, a temporary suspension, is appropriate. But not a permanent ban.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time." "So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
"Censorship" is not, in and of itself, a "bad thing".
Everyone agrees with that statement, if they're honest.
Because the alternative is that you support the public transmission of child pornography to everyone, without being able to take it down once posted. You've just gotta leave that child porn up and viewable, because taking it down would be censorship.
So once you admit that "censorship can be the absolutely appropriate response, depending on context, no matter your partisan views", your whole little protest argument falls completely apart.
So which is it? Were you dishonest about your own principles? Or do you support the dissemination and broadcast of child porn? It's one or the other, here.
RIP Genn Greymane, Permabanned on 8.22.18
Your name will carry on through generations, and will never be forgotten.
The Quartering has decided to use the Elon Musk drama, as a teachable moment. Reminding everyone that he still a neo-nazi/alt-right jagoff.
Gets dragged by the voice of Solid Snake.
How is this remotely connected to what I posted?

If people worry Elon is going to make Twitter an uncensored hellsite, they need to reckon with his literal condoning of censorship, tweet-shadowbans, and temp bans. It’s in the interview.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time." "So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
lol weren't you one of those people who was like "billionaires shouldn't exist"? If lefties don't even think billionaires should exist then it stands to reason that they will be even more angry at Elon Musk when he becomes a trillionaire in the coming years. They don't think he has a right to exist with the wealth he has earned.
Yes, which has what to do with your post, exactly?
I do not work for Twitter, so my personal opinion is irrelevant to your claim, which you haven't even backed up with evidence that your claim actually exists.
Yes to right to exist, no to that level of wealth concentration which historically has proven disastrous to a prosperous society.
Again though, that's a separate philosophical discussion unrelated to Twitter and your claim that "leftists censor pro-billionaire/anti-socialist content".
Still waiting on some evidence for that claim, but given your past posting history my expectations are fairly low.
The existence of billionaires (at current currency values) concurrent with levels of serious poverty and economic hardship within the same economic system is a concrete demonstration that said economic system is failing to perform its function properly.
Even by capitalist principles. Let alone socialist principles.
I have no idea what particular disinfo source you're drawing from, but you're parroting harmful and wildly ignorant propaganda.
I mean you guys are saying billionaires shouldn't exist and you want to silence anything that contradicts your political ideology... If progressives hadn't silenced other billionaires like Trump then Elon Musk wouldn't even have to buy Twitter in the first place in order to protect free expression.
