Right. She could be the flying spaghetti monster. Or the one. I don't know what it was but man SOMETHING IN THE GAME TOLD ME SHE WAS DIABLO. MAYBE IT WAS HER OBVIOUS FUCKING DIALOGUE. And you know what THAT SOMETHING WAS RIGHT. SHE WAS DIABLO! Your right I'll go back and assume shes jesus christ super star. I cannot honestly believe you people...

She's not a wild wizard. It's clear what she is. If you didn't get it well then congratulations. I feel amazed for you. The game was written with you in mind then. Do you always generally miss what is obvious even when it is spelled out for you? You must be a blast at parties.

No it didn't. Diablo 2 didn't assume it's average player was a fucking moron who needed EVERYTHING SPELLED OUT FOR HIM OR HER. D3 does. Thus you get leia telling you what's up and what she is right in the first act. It's blizzard writing hollywood style for the lowest common denominator but without any sparkling acting or direction feed bags of sugar water and popped corn. I mean they spelled out ALOT of shit for you in the star trek reboot but the acting was good so you didn't notice it as much. D3 you NOTICE that everything is being told to you as if your a moron.
No it wasn't. You couldn't figure out who fucking leia was WHEN SHE GIVES IT AWAY TO YOU IN THE FIRST ACT but the cut scene in d2 was so obvious WHEN THE WANDERER DOESN'T EVEN SAY A FUCKING WORD OR HAVE A NAME. What a crock. It's far less clear who the wanderer is. It is EXTREMELY OBVIOUS WHO LEIA IS and they spoon feed you that information as if you were a child.
"I'm quoting the games shitty writing." - Except "shitty writing" is subjective. You keep foaming at your mouth claiming it isn't, yet all you do is repeat that either 1) it's shitty because it's shitty or 2) it's shitty because "literally EVERYONE" thinks so. Both reasons are garbage.
As for "fanboy" comment - tell me honestly, how many hours have you clocked in D2? I have ~50 in D3. Maybe 60. I think this will illustrate who is a raging fanboy here.
And the last point - if you really want anyone to believe you are being "objective", maybe you should not litter every post you do with rage and insults.
Also, I giggled at "someone with taste" part. So basically you'd rather debate with someone who agrees with your opinion. Super! Go do that.
If you couldn't figure out who he was from a glance - you are just slow. Literally everyone else figured it out right away. BOOM!
The night is dark and full of terrors...
So Leia has powers that make her pass out, that makes it clear she is Diablo.
The Dark Wanderer is followed by demons everywhere that wreck havoc, but that does not make it obvious he is Diablo.
Really? Weird powers = Diablo, being followed by demons who don't harm you = not Diablo?
Are you saying the story was symbolic or your post was symbolic? Or maybe you just responded to the wrong person?
You either didn't understand that part of the story or you are intentionally misrepresenting it to make it seem worse than it is. There's a significant difference in what is actually going on and what you described as going on. If you don't like it that's fine. Hate it for what it is and not for what you re-wrote it to be.
By the way, D2 fanboys, you still didn't tell me why you have such an overwhelming urge to shit on D3 on every possible forum instead of playing D2 which is still perfectly playable?
The night is dark and full of terrors...
I'll put this as simple as I can because apparently it's a very complex thing were discussing, although not in reality. A character WHO TELLS YOU WHO OR WHAT SHE IS or VERBALLY LEADS YOU TO OBVIOUS CONCLUSIONS ABOUT WHO OR WHAT SHE IS is spoon feeding viewers and audiences with informatoin. Seeing a cutscene of a dude in a cloak with some demons about WHO YOU NEVER HEAR SPEAK OR NEVER SEE HIS FACE OR AT THAT POINT DON'T EVEN KNOW HIS FUCKIN NAME is alot less spoon feeding. If you can't understand that then theirs very little hope for you.

I'd love to know why you D3 fanboys come in every forum and undermine every conversation we try to have about the games GLARING AND OBVIOUS flaws. If you love d3 so much go play D3.

Really? BUT LEIA WAS SUCH A BIG MYSTERY RIGHT? What a fucking crock of shit. The wanderer lead you to way more mystery than LEIA. Leia is as obvious as fake tits on a porn star. THEY SPOON FEED YOU INFORMATION. I don't know how else to say it. It's the biggest tripe. It's worse than pulp fiction from the 20s and 30s. It's worse than poorly written harlequin romance novels. It's worse than the writing on the jersey shore. It's worse than SPOCKS BRAIN ffs.
I'm sorry but if you could not figure out the wanderer was diablo from the start you had a problem.
And if you didn't know by act 3 you really need help.

No they aren't. VERBALLY SPOON FEEDING YOU leaves less to the imagination then the demons. I'm sorry if you can't understand that but there it is. I pity you for not understanding it because it means the quality of writing will only continue to degrade until they beat your head against a wall with the fact that leia is diablo or whatever other "twist" they want to fore shadow. It's simplified to appeal to a mass audience that doesn't want to have to think or scratch it's head even remotely.

You Einsteins couldn't figure out who Leia was in the FIRST ACT WHEN SHE VERBALLY SPOON FEEDS YOU SHIT but I have a problem because the wanderer suggests more mystery and leaves more to the imagination. You people really need to stop and think before you post. I'm tired of trying to educate you.
It may be going over your head.
But losing hope is meant to be something more than literally losing the archangel with the nametag "Hope". And by the way how is losing hope not something internal? it is projected to the outside world for the sake of storytelling, jeesh.
By the way you are making the story sound worse than it is, not me, If you take it literally, at face value then it is crap. On the other hand in my posts i've been saying that it has redeemable qualities, and that quite a lot of the good stuff gets overlooked.
