You need legendaries for it just like every other spec. I already have legendaries for fire and I don't have 54 traits for frost...54 in fire and arcane. Last thing I expected was for frost to be so good. Everyone though arcane would be the best ST spec, turned out no. I have the belt now though which is great and I'm happy.

What's your character? I doubt you have half my killpoints if you have just 3. I've grinded my a** off to get the legendaries that I have. All raids, all difficulties every week since the beginning. Mythic + spammed for month straight. I can't believe you would defend such a s*** system. Getting 4 utility legendaries is an absolute joke of a design when competing with major DPS ones. An absolute JOKE of a system. It's taken me this long to get 2 legendaries I ACTUALLY want. Lets not mind some people that have 4-5 legendaries and none give a DPS increase besides the ilvl. I play this game more then most and the system has just been a joke, why do you think top guilds had 2-3 of the same classes at the beginning of the expansion? Why do you think some rerolled? Why do you think some releveled a character, because the system is an absolute nightmare. It's usually better to just reroll and hope for better legendaries next time!

I think fire mage scales like s**t and crappy bonus set contributes to this, as soon as 7.1.5 went up (and nh wasn't) i did en run and literally crushed every1 with bracers and belt topping meters on every single boss and said to myself "omg nighhold's gonna be fun", first week of nh was good too, but as soon as ppl started getting more gear and set bonuses i fell behind (from top 3 to 9/10) to the point i'm thinking whether it's better to reroll spec or switching to my 880 rogue alt...

My last reply, because you're a waste of time. I'm not supporting any system, you tard. I play WoW because I've enjoyed the game for the 8 years I've been playing it. I play the game and raid, I play in a top guild. You're required to be good, have max traits and sometimes at least a bis legendary. I don't "go" for legendaries. I simply play and they come. The system is garbage, I just love raiding and it's sad how unbalanced raiding has been this expansion due to legendaries. I wouldn't play if I didn't love raiding in WoW. Go somewhere else. You are totally clueless obviously and you're an absolute waste of my time.

i have close to 60 days /played at 110, i have 6 legendary items on my mage, this is them in order of aquisition:

norgannon's foresight (back when they were 895 ilvl capped)
sephuz's secret (back when they were 895 ilvl capped)
darckli's dragonfire diadem (back when they 895 ilvl capped)
prydaz, xavaric's magnum opus (at 910 ilvl cap)
lady vashj's grasp (at 910 ilvl cap) cos i accidentally had my loot spec as frost when i opened an emissary cache
marquee bindings of the sun king (at 940 ilvl cap)

until last week, i was the only mage in my guild (and we have 4 including myself in the main raid team) that didn't have the bracers, with 2 of them having both bracers and proper ring, so come back when you have been shit on as much as i have so far and complain about how unfair RNG has been.

I still have the shitty hands, Seephuz (not that bad butstill has a bitter taste attached to it as one of the 2 joke legendaries) and the not so great trinket to go.

Why in gods name they chose to make 3/10 of the legendaries way better than the rest is absolutely fucking beyond me. Totally bonkers.

Sub is cancelled and probably going to stay cancelled till 7.2, when I'll farm the new artifact skins and quit again. Maybe.

I was one of the last people in my guild to get my very first legendary, despite putting in 60+ hours a week until i finally got my first legendary on the 3rd or 4th week of EN.

That "hope" your talking about died that day when i got Sephuz.

I quit raiding and went super casual until 7.1.5, when i promptly got Pyrotex (cool but still shit). Also have only Prydaz on my pally.

Pretty sure Norganonn's is next, and with that, i will be quitting until 7.2 at the earliest.

Blizzard was right, dps legendaries were a bad idea, a really f*cking terrible idea. Now that we have a taste for them, they cant delete the dps legendaries. But the only way to fix this mess is to either delete the utility/cross class legendaries and give us a random legendary for any utility one we lost, or, introduce a system in 7.2 to let us trade in cross class legendaries for spec specific ones.

I don't get it tbh. You either go casual and chill while the system gives you trash legendaries, or go serious and do what's must be done. This middle place is nonsensical.

At moments like this we see what hell of a drug WoW is. It's like cocaine with a casino built-in. You see people clearly suffering, frustated, angry, and yet they can't move themselves to quit for good because this drug is way too much into their system.
Plus with all RNG there's more than ever the obsessive gambler's hope: "next time it WILL drop!" "just few more m+ and it'll come" "if my next one isn't good i'll quit"(doesn't quit) and so on. It's sad.

Sometimes i think Blizzard is a disgusting company preying on human's vulnerabilities, such as collection compulsion, gambling behavior, escape from reality, ego-driven competition, and so on.
